I was excited to hear that my mates' uncle would be donating blood for April. I was scared for my friend's life. I didn't want to lose her or Bella ever. They were like a chord that held me together when I needed it most.
If the uncle's blood had not matched, I was ready to grovel at Roy and Roman's feet so that they would take the test to see if they could save April.
I had seen the hurt in Roy's eyes when I stepped back from his approach. I was just not sure of his stand about me yet. I was constantly walking on eggshells around him. I just didn't want to do anything to trigger his anger again. So the best I thought I should do was stay out of his way.
