I reluctantly removed my eyes from what I was reading as the soft knock at the door broke into my reading.
The former Luna had given me some books to read about the history of the royal household. According to her, the former Alpha had gotten her the books after they met. She had left the palace on the day of the attack with nothing but the two pieces of diamond and she had wanted something that would prove that the palace once existed.
Her mate had gotten the palace history books that didn't have the story of her immediate family in them because at the time of the palace's destruction, their history wasn't written yet.
Although Bella had made sure April and I knew how to read, I still had difficulties with some words. So reading always took every ounce of my concentration
