  Calvin's POV   Evelyn dove forward, trying to reach her, but she wasn't going to make it in time.   I didn't even think about it. My hand shot out and caught Alexis's arm just as her hair was about to hit the water. I pulled her right up against my chest in one quick movement, my heart beating so hard I thought it might explode.   "You're okay, Alex. You're safe," I said, and I could hear my voice shaking a little.   "Everything's fine now, Uncle's got you," I kept talking as I moved us away from the edge.
