Well, we meet again..

Elaine turned on her heels and walked on the hallway. Just as the sight of garden appeared on the end of her eyesight, she felt someone dragging her on the arm into the balcony. She doesn't have to turn to see who that is. "What are you doing here?" he stared at here viciously as she leaned back to the balcony rails, crossing her arms. "What do you think?" His eyes appeared to bulge out of his head, and the veins in his neck popped up. Elaine raised her brow when she sees it. "What I think? I think you're a pathetic little b***h who just can't get enough of me. Have some dignity, even if you throw yourself to me, I wouldn't want trash." Elaine shook her head and just when he thought he had hurt her, she laughed instead. "Oh, you're humoring me, Mr. Gregs," she wiped an imaginative tear. "The only reason we were once engaged is because your grandfather had it in his dead-wish. It's funny isn't it, every time I barely notices your presence, you come running towards me saying I'm following you. What do you have as proof that it's not the other way around?" Elaine could almost smell his fury in the air. Almost. Besides being an narcissistic egoistical asshole, he also has anger issues. And it obviously couldn't be helped because if it could, he would've stayed in a mental ward instead of running around like this. What a waste of oxygen, honestly. "This is a balcony, Elsie," he told her with a light tone, as if he's just casually telling her that. But she knows what tone that is. She faced him warily, and cursed inside her heart that he cornered her. She had forgotten to make sure she has an exit. He chuckled upon seeing how calm she is. His hand went to grip on her jaw, and he raised a brow when he receives no reaction from her. She tried to pull her head out of his grasp, but the way he held her made it impossible. He played is hand in front of her neck and chuckled again. "What, have you gone liking to be chocked?" he laughs, and Elaine tries to calm her heart. Nothing's going to happen, she told herself, and tried to push him away. "Mr. Greg, please mind your-" Her words stuck midair when his hand turned to grip on her with no doubt. Elaine felt her body turned cold. No- this isn't happening. Flashes returned to her head, and she felt so damn Angry, she pushed him away with all her might. He stumbled backwards, in his face laced shock and surprise. But just as she's about to step forward, she noticed a shadow throwing a punch at his face, making the arrogant Ian Gregs lies on the ground. He didn't said a thing, and with dragged gasping Elaine out from the balcony. Elaine turned to look at him and was about to thank him when she heard him. "You came here with a man, Miss. Shouldn't you stay by his side instead of wandering around, as if you're a princess needing saving? So bothersome." Elaine stopped on her tracks and looked at him sharply. "I needed saving?" she scoffed. "I could handle it just fine-" That stopped him too . "He could've chocked you to death, and this party would turn into a scandal instead. I'd advice you to stop acting up. People like you could only beg other people, and not do a single relevant thing." "People like me?" She scoffed, not believing her ears. Derek stopped on his tracks and tilted his body, kindly sparing her a glance. "Yes, people like you. Do you really want me to say more?"  Derek spoke indignantly, making Elaine snapped her head towards him faster than she could. She stepped forward, closing down their distance and looked at Derek straight in the eye. "Just because you're born with silver spoon doesn't mean you're entitled to run around and making assumption of someone you barely know-" Derek couldn't believe she actually dares to say he's born with a silver spoon. He had build his reputation all by his own and he ultimately hated it when someone looked down on him. Doesn't she recognize who he is? But Elaine couldn't give a damn with the way he's glaring  at her. She's annoyed by this rich prick calling her things after she had to deal with that imbecile. Where is he anyway? Did he really get knocked out over a merely punch? "No. You listen. Just because you're loaded doesn't make you a god. Cretinous being such you are probably the reason people say 'only god could judge me'. God doesn't judge okay? How do you know he judges? Deal with your own a*s, I'm perfectly capable of wiping my own, and doesn't need you to do it for me. Do you even know who I am?" Derek blinked. Is she really stealing his line after all those frivolous grumbling? He's trying to keep is anger in check- "Exactly, you don't. Your baseless accusation might be just words for someone like you, but for someone like me, it could ruin my life." Elaine turned around just as she finishes talking and suddenly she stopped. "One more thing," she turned. "I don't need your so called favor just to get myself labeled. Had I actually been in need of help, I could've screamed. But I'll still thank you. Because on the contrary of how you think about people like me, just because we didn't go to expensive overseas boarding schools doesn't mean we're uneducated." With that, she turned around and returned to the hall. As she took a glass of champagne and took a sip, she cursed when she remembers something. How could she forget that she need to pass that balcony? 130121
