Liberty watched her husband leave, more questions than answers twirling through her mind. What had he gotten mixed up in? She wanted to call him back, tell him not to return to work because she could sense he was walking into the lion’s den. There was no way he could discover what they truly needed to know to stop whatever it was they didn’t really know was being planned by people they also didn’t know. All they had were questions, and she wasn’t exactly sure her husband could get them the answers. Stealth or bravery were not his strong suits. Of course, that had been fine with her.
