Elena’s POV
The alert popped up on my phone just as I was about to leave the office—an urgent email from the PR team.
“Major leak. Prototype photos are circulating. Launch at risk.”
My heart dropped. This was a nightmare scenario.
I found Adrian already in the war room, surrounded by his execs, his usual icy calm replaced by sharp, focused intensity.
“No mistakes,” he said, his voice like steel. I want every channel monitored, every statement cleared through me. "This is not just a product leak—it’s a threat to everything we’ve built.”
I stepped forward, feeling the weight of the moment. “I have a plan to spin the narrative. If we control the story, we can minimize the damage.”
He glanced at me, eyes narrowing slightly. “Go.”
For the next twelve hours, we worked side by side—fielding calls, coordinating responses, managing stress that felt like it could crack the building apart.
When exhaustion finally hit, I caught Adrian watching me from across the room, a softness in his eyes that he didn’t bother to hide.
“We make a good team,” he said quietly.
I smiled, heart pounding. “Don’t get used to it.”
But even as we fought the firestorm together, I knew this was more than just a crisis—it was the moment everything between us changed forever.
