“Don’t ask her that when we need her to forget that deadbeat,” Sultan snarled inside my head.
Hesitantly, Nia's face paled, and her dull eyes drifted around the air above my head. She knew that I was hoping for a different response.
She drew in a big breath and lowered her gaze to the strange crowd gathering in front of the hotel. She steered to another topic by saying, “I want him to lose everything.”
“Revenge?” I thought about it. “Will it be worth all the bitterness and pain that you are hoarding in your heart? Sometimes the best revenge is to move on and be happy.”
