His Sisters

The entire mansion froze, No one moved. No one even breathed properly. Adrian stood stiffly as the woman in front of him held him tightly, her body trembling almost imperceptibly. Little brother? Bianca’s mother was the first to recover. “What nonsense is this?” she snapped. “Who are you people?” The woman slowly released Adrian before turning around. The warmth in her eyes disappeared instantly. What remained was terrifying coldness. “My name,” she said calmly, “is Isabella Cole.” The moment she spoke, Damien’s confident expression faltered. Bianca’s eyes widened slightly. Even the Vale family patriarch nearly dropped his teacup. Isabella Cole. The billionaire CEO whose business empire dominated half the city. A woman so influential that even wealthy families avoided offending her. But before anyone could process the shock, another woman stepped forward. “And I am Vivienne Cole.” The undefeated lawyer who had destroyed politicians, celebrities, and billion-dollar corporations in court. Then came Seraphina Cole. The world-renowned surgeon constantly featured in international medical journals. Scarlett Cole. Award-winning actress. Global ambassador. Social media queen. Elena Cole. The mysterious pianist whose concerts sold out within minutes worldwide. And finally, the last said slowly, “Raven Cole.” The youngest. The quietest it seems because with her body posture it all said it. Also, the one whose cold gaze made everyone uncomfortable without understanding why. The room became deathly silent. The Vales were no longer confused. Everyone in the room became horrified. These women, every single one of them stood at the absolute top of society. Yet now they were all standing inside this mansion… because of Adrian. Bianca stared at him in disbelief. “No…” she whispered. “That’s impossible.” Scarlett laughed softly. “Oh?” she mused. “So humiliating our brother was possible, but this isn’t?” Her words hit like a slap. Bianca’s mother forced out a nervous smile. “There must be some misunderstanding. Adrian is an orphan—” “He is not.” Isabella’s voice cut through the room sharply. “He is Adrian Cole. Youngest child of the Cole family.” The air left the room. Adrian himself looked stunned. “What?” For the first time since arriving, Isabella’s expression softened again. “You were taken from us during the fire sixteen years ago,” she said quietly. “We searched everywhere.” Seraphina’s eyes turned red as she looked at him. “We never stopped searching.” Adrian felt his chest tighten painfully. Fragments of old memories that always hunted him and he couldn't understand why flashed through his mind. Then he saw fire, smoke, smoke, people screaming, a woman crying. Then darkness. He staggered slightly. “Elena.” Before anyone could react, Elena moved immediately, supporting him gently. “It’s alright,” she whispered softly. Her voice carried an odd warmth that calmed him instantly. Bianca watched the scene unfold with growing panic. “No…” she muttered again. “Adrian never said—” “Because he didn’t know,” Raven finally spoke. Her voice was low and emotionless. “But we knew.” She pulled out a thin black folder and tossed it onto the table. “Every insult.” Another file landed beside it. “Every humiliation.” Another. “Every time he was denied food after family dinners.” Bianca’s face lost color. Raven looked directly at her. “We documented all of it.” A chill spread through the room. Even Damien looked unsettled now. Scarlett folded her arms dramatically. “You people really had courage,” she said mockingly. “Bullying our brother while calling him worthless?” Vivienne smiled coldly. “The lawsuits alone will be entertaining.” Bianca’s mother finally panicked.“Wait—there’s no need for this! Adrian is family! We treated him—” “Family?” Isabella laughed once, It was soft, just too dangerously soft. “You made my brother clean your floors.” The older woman’s face turned pale. “You mocked him at every meal.” And immediately silence took over the place once more. “You called him useless.” Then of course, more silence landed because they couldn't deny the allegations not when the Cole sisters had more proof. Then Isabella took one slow step forward. “And today,” she finished quietly, “you threw him away.” The pressure in the room became unbearable. Adrian stood frozen beside Elena, still trying to process everything happening around him. Sisters, his family. People who had actually been searching for him all these years. It felt unreal. Bianca suddenly walked toward him. “Adrian…” Her voice shook slightly. “Why didn’t you tell me?” Scarlett rolled her eyes instantly. “Oh, now she remembers his name.” “Enough,” Damien snapped suddenly. Everyone looked at him. Though his expression remained composed, tension filled his jaw. “This is still between Bianca and Adrian. Their marriage failed because they were incompatible. There’s no need to exaggerate things.” Vivienne laughed softly. “Incompatible?” She walked toward him slowly in her red heels. “You moved into another man’s marriage before the divorce was finalized.” Damien’s face darkened. Vivienne tilted her head. “Should I continue?” The room became awkwardly silent. Because everyone knew she could. Raven suddenly spoke again. “Three years ago, Damien Laurent bribed hospital staff to alter evidence connected to Bianca’s accident.” Bianca froze. “What?” Damien turned sharply. “Raven—” “You let Adrian take the blame for failing to protect Bianca,” Raven continued coldly. “Because if the truth came out, Bianca would discover you were responsible for the accident yourself.” Everywhere was dead silence as the sisters have them time to take in the blow. Bianca looked at Damien slowly. “…What?” For the first time that night, Damien lost composure. “That’s ridiculous.” Raven tossed another document onto the table. “Evidence.” Bianca’s trembling fingers picked it up. The more she read, the whiter her face became. “No…” Damien grabbed her wrist immediately. “Bianca, listen to me—” “You lied to me?” she whispered. Adrian stared silently at the scene unfolding before him. So that was the truth. For years, he had protected Bianca from guilt over the accident. And Damien, the man she trusted, had let him suffer for it. Something inside Bianca finally dashed to pieces. She turned toward Adrian slowly, eyes full of shock and regret. “Adrian…” But Adrian only looked at her quietly. For the first time in years, there was no love left in his eyes. Only distance for the woman be loved with everything in him. And somehow…that hurt Bianca more than hatred ever could. Isabella stepped forward again.“Pack his belongings.” Her tone was final. “He’s leaving with us.” Scarlett immediately brightened. “Yes! Finally.” Seraphina smiled softly through teary eyes while Elena squeezed Adrian’s hand reassuringly. Only Raven remained expressionless.Watching everyone carefully. Watching Bianca especially. Bianca’s chest tightened painfully as Adrian picked up his suitcase again. He was really leaving. And suddenly for the first time since handing him those divorce papers panic consumed her. “Adrian, wait—” He paused briefly near the door. But he never turned around. Rain thundered outside as the six women surrounded him protectively. Like queens escorting back the brother they had finally reclaimed. And as the mansion doors closed behind them the Vale family realized something horrifying. They had just destroyed the only person capable of bringing them into the Cole family’s world. And now he belonged somewhere else. “Grandpa… that lowlife was a freaking Cole all along.” It was Mary, Bianca's younger cousin. “Coz… tell me you didn't sign those divorce papers and only have it for Adrian to sign first.” “Ugh! Shut up Mary!”
