Kieras POV I listened to Aunt Ren tell me my life is now being sorted for me. I pulled back onto the road and used the directions she wrote out for me. I had no choice my father the Alpha of our pack sent me away because I didn't want to be the leader. I began to think of how I want to approach this new endeavor. I hear the heavy sigh and realize now that she's very tired. " Lauren" I grab her hands and can see the ware and tare on them. I see how much she needs me the help she is begging for. " Does Johnson know I'm coming?" Ren looks away and begins crying again. " Kiera he has dealt with so much loss since before he was born. I'm hoping in meeting you the information I have for him will be easier to swallow." she turns to me and I know what I'm to do. " I Kiera Mitchell of Blood Moon Pack promise to keep your blood oath and guide and protect Johnson." I felt this whoosh between us and then my vision was slightly different. I can see these small swirls in the air leading me to the destination. I looked at my Aunt Ren and she smiled and nodded at me. Lauren's POV I am looking at my niece who proved to me once again how much my family will always be my backbone. They have helped me with out ever a second guess. Now the younger generation will do the same. I haven't had time to process it all I constantly am just trying to prepare Johnson. To see Kiera willingly give up her life for me to protect Johnson. I recognize our mountainside and realized I never told Kiera to back track. I was to busy wallowing in my own sacrifices that I didn't see if we were followed or seen. I was off my game in my older age. "Here I think" Kiera says. I get out and walk up the wall of leaves. Found the lock and opened up the wall of leaves to reveal a path. About forty more miles and we pull up the fortress. "Pull into that garage there here use this button and it will open up." I say to Keira pointing to the now opening garage door. The door opened immediately and Johnson was standing there. He searched for me in the driver side and then saw me in the passenger. He flew to me and then froze when he saw Kiera. Johnson's POV Lauren left really early this morning so I decided to clean up the house. Emptied out the fridge and rearranged the furniture. I decided to let my wolf King out. King ran the entire lands four times and finally I felt a little tired. I do my best to listen to Aunt Ren by keeping my wolf hidden and only go out for short runs. Aunt Ren said my wolf is to much like my father's and would be a dead giveaway to who I am. I'm not powerful enough yet and have to wait for my revenge. I look up at the security system we have in place. Looking at the sun I see that Ren will be home by sunset. King: Do you feel that Johnson? Johnson: I do actually feel something as if everything will change soon. King: Johnson be on your best behavior today. Also make that chicken pesto pasta. Trust me you'll be thanking me later. I was shocked at King but didn't argue Aunt Ren deserves it all. She's been moving a lot slower now. I see fear in her eyes and it's killing me she wont talk to me. She has this aching in her heart of leaving me alone. At like 4pm I heard the front gate open up good I was beginning to worry. I slap on my puma tracksuit to be able to help Ren in supplies. She usually orders everything online and we bring in a bunch of stuff. I slap on my puma shoes to match my light blue track suit. I look at myself in the mirror and laugh out loud. Ren once said I looked like I was chiseled from the hands of the gods. I work out so much and so hard to stay at the ready to protect Aunt Ren and myself. I hear the jeep in the garage and I'm so happy I yank the door open. Ren is in the passenger side and I see her needing help off the jeep and run to her. I caught this scent of vanilla and lilacs and King roared in the back of my head. "Mate" Kiera's POV Aurora is howling in my mind( oh yes look at our mate. He is so handsome. Look at just how good he looks he smells like morning rain.) I take a slow breathe and speak. "Are you really my mate?" Laurens POV I should have known the moon goddess always a plan We'll so far so good everything seems to be working out. I turn to Johnson "Can we bring in the supplies please. Oooo and something smells so good." Johnson still hasn't moved. "Kiera second floor third door to the left is for you I put fresh sheets for you. Put your stuff away and come to dinner." I can feel Johnson staring at me. I sign and motion for him to continue bringing in supplies. Then I sit down and grab my bag containing some books I had hidden at a PO BOX office. "This book contains spells from your mom. This book has every spell you may ever need for basic training for hybrids like your self. This book is the proper ways of running a pack an Alphas guide." "Why are... what.....what!" yelled Johnson I cupped his cheeks and then I let some tears out. "Johnson please sit sweety. As you know I'm getting older and can't protect you anymore." " No... No.. I'll protect you Ren." He choked out. "Shh please when I made the blood oath to your mom to protect you I didn't take into account certain things. So I had to make sure your protected and make arrangements." I say to him. Johnson just couldn't contain himself "What exactly are you telling me? I'm not understanding is there something I should be worried about? Ren this... this isn't fair, you just can't leave me your my only family I have." I raise my hands to stop him from talking." Im not abandoning anyone leaving you an orphan. Understand that life will always kick you in the teeth. So you know that for fact but doesn't mean you take it lying down. My niece is now your family seems like your under the eye of the moon goddess. Your mate is now here Johnson life will certainly change for the better. Even if some bad might happen Johnson you live and enjoy the good."
