----Lowell POV---- I woke to a very dreary day, stretching I realized that it was already quite late and I needed to wake up. I was thirsty and quite horny as well, I turned to my beautiful mate and partner sleeping at the side on me on our bed. Watching for a few minutes before placing my hand on her, rubbing her gently on her thigh. Watching Alena sleep was one of my favorite pastimes, she was extremely beautiful even for a vampire. A queen not only in demeanor but also in the way she carried herself. She was tall for a female at 5’7” with long black hair and pale white skin, the common skin tone for all vampires. Her lips were plump and red like cherries and she had beautiful silver eyes, the color of steel. She the blessing I received I received from Erebus, my mate and partner. In all my 200 years of existence she was my miracle and my gift from the gods, even our son Marco, didn’t hold as much of my heart as she did. She was my life! Alena slowly woke up her eyes fluttering, she opened her and smiled up at me. Her pupils dilated with want for me. “Good Morning, my love.” She whispered, in her beautiful musical voice. “Good Morning, my life!” I replied, pressing my lips against hers and proceeded to exult in the body of mate. That was one thing I loved about Alena, she always wanted me and there never a time she refused my ardor. After making sweet love for half an hour and getting her to scream my name on her orgasm. I got up of the bed and walked over naked to the bathroom. I walked into the bath prepared by my personal man servant, as soon as I got into the brass tub, he appeared behind be and proceeded to pour perfectly warm water over me while scrubbed. “My Love, I am going in for my bath after which I will be taking a walk along with my handmaiden. Is there anything you would like me to have done for you my before I leave?” I smiled at her daily question before she left every morning. She didn’t need to do anything for as everything I need done is already done by my personal manservant. But her love for me is shown by her always worrying that I am taken care with no needs that need to be addressed. “No, my life! Please revel in your walk and do not forget to not wander to far away from the castle. If you are going too far into the forest, take a guard along with you.” She huffed at my suggestion and I heard her walking away from the door from my privy chamber, smiling at my ever independent and beautiful queen. She could never understand that my life and my sanity depended on her safety, I wouldn’t be able to be the king I am today without her by my side. Finishing my bath, I stood up from the tub and let my manservant drape me with my wiping cloth. “That is enough Krato, you can leave I will dress myself.” “Yes, My Lord!” He replied bowing and walking out of the room. I walked over to the large mirare and looked at myself. All the Kings of the ancient and pure vampire bloodline had straight white hair that set us apart from the rest of the vampire race, mine fell to my waist. The blood throne on which we sit will not accept any other bloodline to sit on the throne gifted by Erebus. The rest of the reflection staring back at me was similar to that of any of the vampire race, pale skin and cherry red lips. My eyes were also part of the bloodline, all the male descendants of the Helsing Bloodline had blood red eyes, all the other vampires kept their original eye color which darkens during meal time. I smiled at my never changing appearance and quickly put my robes on. After dressing myself in my standard royal robes of black, I walked out of my bed chambers towards the great hall. I had to finish my royal duties of meeting any guests and the common folk with any issues they required my assistance with. As soon as I walked into the room, the announcer shouted, “All Hail, King Lowell Helsing of Kingdom of Tauleran!” Everyone stood at this and bowed with respect, as soon I entered the room, everyone’s thoughts invaded my mind and I concentrated in silencing the whole lot but my own. Tauleran was the capital of all vampire covens across the world and I have been King of this Kingdom for last 200 hundred years ever since my father the Great King Alaric Helsing died in the battle against the dragons. Tauleran is of great value to the vampires because of the Blood Throne, Erebus had gifted it with the power to control and read the minds of all vampires, what they do not understand is the owner cannot be anyone else apart from the next heir of the Helsing bloodline. Any other being who sites on it will turn to the red stone and just add to the palace treasury. I smiled at the throne as I walked over to it at the far end of the hall, taking my place on it. I spoke out to the gathered guests, common folk and elders, “Let’s proceed!” “Sire, my land is at the far end of the capital territory and is being not repeated occasions attack by rogue werewolves. I have to you seeking assistance for the same.” The first civilian spoke up in humble tone bowing as low as he could possibly do. I nodded, “I will send an envoy with you to check the perimeter for any break in the spell masking the capital.” He bowed even lower again and walked away towards the Elder who will set my order in motion. This continued for a couple more hours and I was bored, but this was a necessary activity as it was for the benefit of my Kingdom. We were just getting all the issues sorted and I was down to the last one on waiting for my assistant when I felt his pain and complete loss take over my entire being. I buckled under the pressure of the pain and feeling of extreme loss. Everyone in the hall rushed to my side screaming, “Sire! Sire!”. “Something is wrong! Where is my queen? Find the queen!” Everyone scrambled to follow the order, I was still holding my side gasping for air but I got up and desperately tried to leave the hall in search of Alena. I was just reaching the end of the hall when one of the guards rushed in, the look on his face said it all. I fell to the ground because I knew what I was feeling my life, my queen, my love was gone. My mind was whirring out of control I couldn’t hold myself up anymore and slowly fell head first into oblivion, the blackness that was like death.
