CHAPTER 7 Elizabeth’s POV Waking up, my head was pounding and my nose was stuffy. I shivered and tried to snuggle more into the blankets. It was of no use, I was still shivering all over my body and even though I had just woken up, I was tired. Feeling that I was too weak to even try and get up I closed my eyes and tried to ignore the aching body of mine. It felt like something was missing but in my groggy state of mind it was hard to even remember my own name. Daddy! I snapped my eyes open to look around the gigantic room but he was nowhere to be seen. I whimpered. I was sick and I was alone, there was no one to comfort me. Curling into myself I cried and cried until I was exhausted from all of this and fell asleep once again. ———————————————— Waking up to cooing and gentle hands rubbing my back I sniffled slightly which in result came out only as some weird snort type of thing. That means that my nose is still stuffed. And my head was still pounding but I wasn’t cold. I was pleasantly warm. “Hey baby girl. How did you sleep?” A voice cooed in my ear. That’s when I finally registered that someone was on the bed beside me. A male. Daddy would be so mad at me! I opened my eyes and saw daddy’s face in front of mine. “Daddy!” I smiled weakly. “My little princess is all flushed. My poor sick little baby.” Daddy gazed at me concerned. “We need to get some food in you and some medicine too.” “What kind of foody?” “Anything you want princess.” He kissed my forehead. “Anything?” I gasped happily. “Yes, baby. Now come on, what would you like?” “Pancakes!” I squealed, clapping my hands together excitedly. Daddy chuckled. “Pancakes it is.” He muttered to himself, walking to the door. Daddy muttered some words to whoever was standing behind the door and then came back to the bed. I snuggled into his side as soon as he was under the covers and daddy’s arms slid around me tightly. After a ten - fifteen minutes’ wait there was a knock on the door. Daddy groaned but got out of the bed and took a tray of something - I hoped there were lots of pancakes. Shutting the door he came back to where I was almost completely hidden in the blankets. He sat on the bed with his back leaning onto the headboard, placing the tray on his lap. There were, indeed, lots of pancakes. —————— The next day I was happily up and running, whatever medicine daddy had given me had worked wonders and I was feeling well again. I was kinda playing hide and seek with daddy because he said I needed a bath but I didn’t want to so I ran. Which ended up in me getting lost in the castle sized house. Quietly giggling to myself because if I was lost then I wouldn’t have to take a bath! Unless daddy found me of course but how could he know where I was if I didn’t even know it myself? That’s it, he couldn’t! I was very pleased with the way things had turned out in my favor at the moment. All I needed now was a bedroom to crash in for the night because I don’t think anyone could find me anymore. There was light coming from under a door and I could hear some people cheering. Being the curious person I am I decided to have a look. Tip toeing to the door and opening it quietly, hoping it wouldn’t squeak I peeked in. And gasped. The sight in front of me was… how to say this… making me feel my blush rising to the tips of my ears. Daddy would be mad if he knew that I was looking at… this. Trying to close the door I hit my head with it and heads snapped in my direction because of the loud whimper that escaped my mouth.
