Erin's POV — Farewell to my old life
I was about to go on break with Lily when I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. Lily heard it too. I pulled my phone out, and my heart warmed when I saw that Ronald was calling, but then my mood darkened when I realised he had never called me this time.
“Is this Kevin? Shouldn't he be sleeping?” Lily asked.
I smiled, knowing Kevin had probably had fun with Zoe by now. “No, it isn’t him. It’s a friend.”
“What friend?” she asked, looking at me curiously. I felt a little frustrated that I couldn’t pick up my phone because of her.
