As I stepped out of my car at the house, the first person to greet me was Dylan.
"Daddy, Daddy, you finally got here!" my little son exclaimed as he spotted me. He ran over, and I dropped the suitcase from my hand. He jumped into my arms and kissed my cheek.
"Did you miss me?" I asked him, and he nodded enthusiastically.
"Yes, Daddy, I really, really missed you."
"Why are you outside?" I asked, frowning slightly.
"Nanna told me we should wait for you with breakfast, so I wanted to play outside until then because I was hungry."
I rolled my eyes as I regained my grip on the suitcase while still holding Dylan. "Then we should hurry inside."
