She started adjusting the collar of Kevin's shirt. "I don't understand why you didn't put on your suit, Kevin." However, it seemed that Zoe's attempt to stay close to Kevin only frustrated him, and he let out a sigh.
"My suit fits me well," he replied, but Zoe still didn't want to let go.
"But Kevin, if Erin needs to put on her gown, then you should wear your suit too."
"No need. And now, please let me go," Kevin said, still frustrated, before stepping toward me and taking my hand. Zoe's dislike was apparent, but Kevin ignored her. I had a feeling he was worried I would suspect something, so he tried to act annoyed by Zoe's presence.
I smiled at him and leaned closer to kiss his lips, further irritating Zoe.
"I am ready," I said. Kevin smiled back at me and led me to the stage.
