NEW YEAR’S EVE
So much had happened in the past few months. We’d raised over two million dollars through my father’s golf tournament for the Adrenal Insufficiency Awareness fund. Lucas had been a tremendous help throughout the whole ordeal and kept up his agreement to help caddie an amateur—as his father did as well. Turned out, the young man he helped won second place. Lucas awarded him with a long weekend at our private island, which we had renamed Secret Isle. If we ever got married, that was where I wanted it to be.
