Fitting Punishment?

While I'm playing with Aloruxe I hear Jacob and Alarik talking as they get closer.

"Please Jacob tell me what's going on with my mate. What if she was sentenced on a double edged sword like I was."

"No she wasn't there was evidence and she got a trail unlike you which again I'm sorry for."

"Tell me what she did, Jacob I need to understand."

"Talk to-"

"She plotted my death in many different creative ways."

I looked him dead in his eyes so he could see the truth in them. I glance at Aloruxe to see that he fell asleep in my arms as I bounced him i wore him out as much as he did me. I look back up at Alarik he looked horrified. He closed his mouth after a minute apologizing on her behalf before walking away. I feel bad for telling him before their bond could grow maybe he could be what makes her better. I look at Jacob with a shocked looked at the idea that just popped into my head. I hand him Aloruxe so he can go put him in his bed as I go to find my brother. Maybe just maybe he'll except my idea.

"Buuuubbaaaaa."

"Just follow his scent jeez woman."

"Shut it Aries."

"What are you yelling for?"

"Where is he?"

"In a meeting why?"

"I need to talk to y'all about something."

He walks out of the meeting room with other alphas I'll have to ask him what that's about plenty of the Alpha's look unhappy but know not to say anything. They lower their heads as they walk past Rose and I to show respect. I grab Rose by the hand and pull her into the meeting room knowing he'll follow. He shuts the door behind him holding his hand up I patiently wait while he has the guards escort the Alpha's out and releases the tension from whatever happened in that meeting.

“Okay sweet pea, tell me what all the yelling is about.”

“I was thinking about Alarik..”

“Okay?”

“Well Jessica too.”

“Look sis I know your not a fan of physical punishment but-“

“Rose I understand what she did is wrong but if y’all hear me out even if y’all agree I’ll still do the fight. Except with no complaint.”

They exchange a look but don’t mind link I don’t know how they do that must be a mate thing.

“Okay we’ll hear you out but no promises.”

“That’s all I ask, so I mainly feel bad for Alarik he finds his mate but she’s under hard penalties. I can’t imagine how he must feel I told him what happened and he was beyond upset so I would like to hold off on any uhh of your punishments till after the weekend.”

“What would that do to teach her a lesson? To me you still want her to go to the moon party at your pack.”

“I do but before you start talking about how that’s no punishment let me finish. Cause I don’t care what she did she shouldn’t have to do her first shift alone yall don’t imprison non shifted so I don’t think she should do it alone because of her crime. Bubba you’ve seen how stubborn she is she was even trying to fight your aura because she hates submitting more than she hates me. If after the shift run she submits to me and her mate we let him take guardianship of her.”

They seem surprised at how thought out it sounds I am too considering I just thought of it five minutes ago. They were thinking for so long I start to get worried.

“She will be under guard the entire time and only gets out the day of the party.”

“Thank y’all”

I run out if I was in wolf form I’d be wagging my tail. I feel Aries role her eyes at my so called mercy but i am happy as can be I run into a wall of a man and fall onto my ass.

“I’m sorry”

But I look up to see Alarik I was gonna tell him the good news but he drops to his knees and bows to me I don’t understand. My brother and Rose come out and stop in shock at what they’re seeing I look at them but they just shrug and look back at Alarik. He shifts his wolf lays in front of me I see where some patches of fur are missing his eyes are closed and he has his snout towards the ground I get up and go to touch one of the scared spots but he gets up and turns toward me.

“I am so sorry.”

He shakes his head and licks a tear off my face and holds his forehead to mine I close my eyes to match his stance. The best I can in human form. I look back at my brother and sister to see their eyes so wide I’m surprised they ain’t fell out of their heads Alarik shifts back my brother hands him a pair of shorts I turn back around to see Alarik… crying.

“Oh my what’s wrong did I hurt you when I ran into you or-“

“No no princess I already owed you my life but now I owe you so much more.”

“You haven’t owed me anything Alarik.”

“Yes princess not only did you get me out of there even after what she did your willing to get her out not just to shift but forever we I will forever be in your debt if you ever need anything call me and I’ll come running no matter how far.”

He stretches out his claws cutting his palm grabs my hand and drops his blood in my hand his glows and dries crazy fast I stair at my hand when I look up all I see is his retreating back my brother and Rose still stand there beyond shocked.
