Blood Oath?

Alarik POV

I know blood oaths have been restricted for only previous traitor wolves due to if they betray who they bled for they die instantly. But me and Lozern my wolf agreed on the blood bond because that is the least I could do after all she has done for me and now my mate even after the things she planned to do. I have my own terms for my little mate even after everything thing is over I’ll have a punishment ready for her once I get to take her home. My hand instinctively flinched with anticipation. He howls in my head impatient to watch our mates ass redden while over our knee. Heading down to the basement you would think would give me anxiety but I was calm heading straight for my mate we talked all night getting to know each other she may not be able to feel the bond yet but I’ll happily be patient plus she shifts this weekend it’s barely Tuesday but it could be farther away so I don’t mind the short wait. I head straight to her cell the screams of the other prisoners bounce off the walls. I see her curled up into a ball covering her ears squeezing her eyes closed I hated seeing her so scared but she is lucky to have someone like Alora speaking up for her. I knock on the wall she jumps but relaxes when she sees me the guard I knocked out an hour ago for trying to touch her while I was in the bathroom jerks up with a growl I can admit it was a cheap shot but I will not watch a woman get hurt by a man I still don’t see why she’s locked in on the man side even for us criminals that’s the one mercy the king n queen have males don’t cross into the female side not even the guards.

“You stupid mutt wait until the king hears about this.”

I watch him storm away and look back at my mate who now looks horrified.

“You’re gonna get locked up again because of me you need to run Alarik. Now before they come for you.”

“Easy mate he’d have to tell them why I hit him and they would not take kindly to that. Believe it or not despite the horrors the king and queen put us through down here they NEVER put a woman through that specific torture and he knows that.”

I tell her while suppressing a growl and shaking my head. Out of all the things we talked about her being brought here wasn’t one of them but now I need to try and understand more of the situation.

“So little mate I have some news but I want answers first.”

“Okay?”

“Why have you been brought here.”

I may already know the specifics but I need to know her side to understand because I will not have a mate who plans like that with no reason and as much as Lozern wants his mate he agrees he will not have an evil one. I watch her closely she’s tense probably scared of loosing the only person who’s still nice to her. Well other than Alora but she doesn’t seem to except Alora in anyway. She swallows hard and takes a deep breath before looking at me with a show of strength and defiance.

“I’m here because my parents betrayed me in favor of Alora.”

I raise my brow at her waiting for the full story as I know there’s more to it than that but why would her own parents turn her in.

“In our pack Alora is the Adopted daughter of our Alpha and Luna. They have three boys but our Luna Marley can’t have anymore and desperately wanted a girl so when Jenasi came to our pack seeking comfort the Alpha and Luna happily took them in. The Alphas sons and I used to be really close before she came along we would all play together but the boys favored her instantly. I could be talking and if she showed up they’d cut me off mid sentence in favor of listening to her. One day I saw her alone at the edge of the territory I told her if she didn’t stop excluding me I’d tell everyone one I saw her plotting with rogues. She didn’t seem to care about my threat considering she knew I caught her feeding one. She stood straight and told me if I was that desperate we could fight for it so I lunged at her but she dodged every hit I got mad there’s no way she was that good we where so young. So I picked up a stick and swung it at her head she ducked and kicked me in the stomach knocking the air out of me. She looked at me with a blank expression and it scared me it was the first time I felt fear Alarik true fear. I got up and pushed her past the border but she grabbed me and dragged me right along with no care in the world I hit her trying to go back home. Even tho that was the first hit I landed it bruised her. She let go with a smile when I got back Into the territory I linked my mom and told her everything she told me she was on her way. When that rogue she was feeding came back I yelled at her to run but she just hugged it. I watched it lick her face and nudge her back into the territory so carefully. After I reported everything to the Alpha and Luna all they cared about was are fight and banned me from ever going into their house again. The boys completely disowned me as their friend. I’ve hated her ever since she got away with everything! How is it fair? Even my own parents told me I needed to learn to mind my own business.
