"Good morning."

"Grr ten more minutes

Hi I'm Alora and the grump who shares my head is Aries my wolf.

"No Aries we won't have time for breakfast if we wait."

I laugh as she growls her protest

as I roll out of bed to head down stairs to start

the coffee before getting in the shower. Aries always asks for ten more minutes the one time I let her we ended up missing the first half of school. The coach made us run eight laps around the school before i could leave as punishment. As I finish up my shower and wrap myself in a towel I go back down stairs to make my cup of coffee and start cooking breakfast. Once I finish cleaning up from cooking and my coffee I start another pot so I can go get dressed.

"Why can't we sleep another hour like everyone else."

"Aries this way everyone has a relaxing breakfast and mom doesn't have to worry first thing in the morning."

"Luna did it perfectly fine before us she'll be fine if we sleep."

" I don't know why you insist on calling her Luna "

"She isn't our mother Alora, end of the story."

I sigh shaking my head Marley has raised us as her own for the past seven years gonna be eight at the end of the week when I turn 16. I am so excited I'll get to shift for the first time in just five days! It's so close the first shift is also when I get my symbol! A symbol indicates what you have the strongest connection with outside of your wolf. Mom's symbol is a flower I often see her meditating in the garden surrounded by them. The only flower I ever see her fight with is a rose the thorny bastards are mischievous. My dad Marcus's symbol is a rock which means earth as I'm sure you guessed he connects but not just anything considered earth but with the ground and far below the eye can see. Then there are my brothers-

"Their sons are not related to us."

I don't know why Aries rejects them so much anyway. Micah the oldest has water, Malik has Air, and Maverick the youngest has a tree. I can't wait to see what mine is!

I step outside the screen door into the garden hearing mom arguing with the roses again handing her the cup of fresh coffee with a smile.

"Hope I'm not interrupting."

She waves a hand.

" No no dear just these damn roses again using their thorns to distract me so I can't focus on meditation."

She glares at them over her mug. I can't help but laugh the flowers come alive for her she can actually have conversations with them it's how the boys always got caught when they'd tried sneaking out the flowers would tell her when she came to meditate. Next Dads coffee I go up to his office he always stops to check on any emails before breakfast. I knock softly before entering.

"Good morning Dad."

"Good morning sweetheart, are you excited about your upcoming party?"

"Yes! Jackson, Ray, Maverick and I all get to shift this month!"

"Don't forget Jessy my dear."

My smile faulters a bit Jessy is.. not my friend to put it lightly i completely forgot she gets to ruin the day by being there.

"I know sweetie that girl is.."

He seems to be struggling to come up with a nice way to describe her himself but here comes the boys to fill in the blank.

"A b***h?"

"A cunt?"

"A t**t?"

"BOYS, You will not use such foul language about our pack members no matter how... Difficult! Yes difficult they may be"

They all roll their eyes in unison at his disapproval in their choice of words. They all give me a kiss on the cheek as they walk out thanking me for breakfast. I smile as I watch them go back down stairs then my smile drops... Wait.. I start racing down the stairs. Hearing my dad laughing behind me.

"YOU BETTER NOT OF ATE ALL OF IT!!!"

"What you gonna do if we did shorty!"

"Should've eaten before doing coffee deliveries!"

"Maybe there's a crumb or two left!"

Those jerks I can't deny the shorty claim when I am barely

5' 9" to their 6' 6', 6' 4, and 6' 2" height. Even mom is 5' 11" to Dad's 6' it sucked being so short. I was shocked when I got to the kitchen my plate was still intact but more so there was a box on the table with my name on it. I look at everyone dad coming in and going to stand next to Mom. They were all looking at me waiting for me to open it. I slowly opened the small box and couldn't help but smile it was a charm bracelet with all their symbols on it with one space left.

"All that's left is yours cupcake."

I roll my eyes at Micah's nickname for me. Despite his and Mom's stance which is very ready for anything and always on guard I know secretly he's a sweetheart just like her. It's funny Micha looks just like Dad with his brown eyes and dark brown hair but has Mom's Guarded personality. While Maverick matches mom with his blonde hair and indigo eyes with Dad's silliness. Malik has dirty blonde hair and indigo eyes with flecks of brown in them a perfect mix of mom and dad. Malik seems laid back but if you truly know him you can see how alert he truly is. I go into the middle of the group hugging them all

"Thank you guys so much."

"Don't start crying cupcake."

"Awe sweet heart."

" I know, I know I can't help it. This time of year never gets easier."

Everyone squeezes me tighter knowing exactly what I'm talking about. The boys start fighting each other to get the first solo hug from me. Mom and dad roll their eyes while I can't help laughing at their craziness. They give me a kiss on my head while watching the boy's Dad headed to his office while Mom starts pushing the boys out the door.

"Off to school with you feral lot."

"Come on boys wouldn't want to be late."

I walk out the door with them hot on my heels. Micah and Malik shift I can see it eats at Maverick that he can't yet but thanks to his Alpha genes he can at least use his Wolf abilities. With Cerberus and James standing in front of us shaking out their brown and light brown fur I can't help but be amazed. Aries won't tell me what color her fur is she says I'll see at the shift. Cerberus and James are arguing over who gets to carry me to school when they start wrestling again but before I can say anything Maverick picks me up bridal style and starts running the boys growl at Mavericks back and starts chasing after us. When we get to the edge of the woods Micah and Malik shift back and try to jump on Maverick but I stand between them.

"Now, now Maverick got me first this morning none of that we need to get to class."

"Alright shortstack but I'm kicking his ass in gym class."

"Language!"

"So innocent cupcake."

"I am not!"

"Oh yeah? Well then, princess say a cuss word."

"I don't have to cuss to prove I'm not innocent."

I turn on my heels and start walking to class. Jeez these boys and their nicknames for me. Micah calls me a cupcake, Malik calls me a short stack and Maverick calling me a princess. They don't leave my side we have every class together the only time I'm without them is lunch while they play football. Well also when I'm in the bathroom much to their dismay they hate when I'm out of eye sight after that rogue attack a few years ago I still have a scar down my leg from where one of them clawed me before anyone could get to me. Going into the bathroom I run into the witch herself Jessy with her long wavy blonde hair and bright green eyes. I thought only gingers had eyes that shade of green till I met her. Aries instantly growling at being near here

"Excuse me "

"Watch yourself b***h, I can't wait till I shift and your brothers realize I'm their mate you will be kicked to the curb "

"You can't know they're your mates Jessy you’re not even close to 18."

"Shut it runt you don't know anything."

I go into a stall to do my business listening to Aries talk about killing her the second we shift knowing we can't do that. A werewolf can sent their mate as soon as both have shifted but they can't mark each other till they are both at least 18 which makes no sense to me but I'm sure the goddess has her reasons. A smile appears on my face and Aires settles hearing Ray enter the bathroom.
