Chapter 21: Hard to understand

Riya's POV~

I saw Vicky standing with a stern expression. He started moving upstairs and I followed him.

I looked at Vicky who sat on the edge of the bed. He is looking so scary. I took little steps toward our room. I slowly closed the door of our room.

"Vicky", I said in a low voice. I just got a glare from him.

"Freshen up first", he said coldly.

"Vicky...That..phone..", I stuttered when he looked at me.

"Do what I say", he uttered dangerously. I just nodded and went to the bathroom with my pajama.

I freshened up but my mind is still stuck on what I should tell him. I ignored him because he ignored me first. He started it first. No way I am going to be scared of him. I said to myself.

Little did I know that his one angry look is enough for me stutter. I flicked my head.

He doesn't gonna hit you..Why are you scared..Just face it..I said to myself.

I slowly opened the door to see he is still sitting on the bed.

"Vicky..", I said in a low voice.

"What?", he asked.

"I..I am sorry", I said.

"What? You are sorry? For what?", he asked while standing in front of me.

"Actually my phone is on silent...So I didn't.." , I saw him looking at me with his red eyes.

"You didn't saw how many times I called you?!", he said harshly. Tears started falling from my eyes.

"S..Sorry", I said with a tearful eyes.

Then he suddenly hugged me.

"Don't cry now...I was really worried when you didn't pick my calls", he said and I just sobbed on his embrace.

"Don't cry...I can't see you like this", he said while breaking our hug and wiping my tears smoothly.

"It happened because of you...You ignored me..You ignored me", I said while slapping my hands on his chest. He stopped me while holding my wrists in his hands.

"What? I ignored you..When did that happen?", he asked.

"Stop acting..You ignored me in the office", I sobbed.

"What? That's called being professional ", he said.

"I don't think so..I guess you are too embarrassed to introduce me as your wife right?", I said even though I know that he don't feel like that.

"I dare you to say that again", he said with a challenging look. I just looked down defeated.

"Riya!! Riya!!", He said while making me sir on the bed.

"What's going on in this tiny brain of yours?", he asked while flicked my forehead.

"Ah", I said while rubbing my forehead.

"Why will I ignore you? You are my wife", he said while smiling at me.

"Are you serious? You smiled at me now. You gave me a cold face in the office", I said as I was baffled.

"Because you are my secretary. Moreover, I don't anyone to say bad things about you. That you are favored, that you are using connections...Although Dad appointed you directly but you are more than qualified for the job. So my little wife, don't think such things. Interior Designs is a small field and rumors spread easily. I don't want anyone to point fingers at you..", he said. I was in awe about how can he think all this.

"But..Why didn't you say this?", I asked in a low voice.

"I thought my Riya will understand", he said while caressing my cheek.

"Sorry for misunderstanding ", I said.

"It's okay..But don't behave like this..I need you to pick up my call at any cost", he warned again.

"I will never repeat this mistake", I said and hugged him.

"Vicky...", I said.

"Yes", he said while caressing my hair. I broke the hug.

"Do...Do.. you..", I said while fidgeting my fingers nervously. He raised his eyes brows.

"Do..you..need me to be in birth control?", I asked.

He sighed hearing that question.

"Honestly..Yes", he said and I nodded sadly.

"I want you to focus on your career. We can plan for children later", he said and I looked at him in shock.

"So you said that we are not ready to Mom and Dad because you wanted me to focus on my studies", I asked.

"Yes..You have to achieve your dreams", he said.

I hugged him tightly when I heard that.

I was such an i***t to think that he may not like me. He is so caring and understanding. He want me to achieve my dreams.

"If you want we can have a baby..but it will be little stressful", he said.

"You are so hard to understand ", I said while placing my lips on his. He pulled me to his lap and I straddled him. We kissed each other passionately.

After few minutes, we both broke apart. He placed me on the bed. He hovered over me and kissed my forehead.

"I warn you not to think such stupid things ", he said. I nodded.

"Let's sleep. We need to get up fast", he said while sleeping beside me. He pulled me on his chest. I placed my hand on his torso.

"Good night!", he said.

"Good night!", I said.

I don't know when I slept in his embrace. I am off to my dreamland.

I opened my eyes when I feel sun rays falling on me. I saw Vicky sleeping so I didn't disturb him. I get out of his embrace with great difficulty.

"I need mom forgiveness", I said to myself. I immediately when to freshen up myself. I wore a saree today. After getting ready, I went out.

I saw the time. I will wake up Vicky after some time.

I went down and started making breakfast for everyone. When I was in the middle of making breakfast, I saw mom coming to the kitchen.

She averted her eyes when she saw me. I think mom is really angry at me.

"Mom", I said while going to her. She is just doing her work not minding me.

"Mom..I'm sorry", I said.

"Mom..Please talk to me. I will accept any punishment..But don't ignore me", I said while tears are falling from my eyes. When mom saw my tears she was startled.

"Oh dear! Don't cry...", she said hugging me.

"Mom!!", I exclaimed.

"I was really worried for you, beta. Please be safe", Mom said while caressing my hair.

"Sorry mom", I said.

"It's okay..", Mom said while breaking the hug.

"I promise I will not repeat this mistake again ", I said.

"You better not", Mom said and I nodded.

"Okay now..Wake up Vicky..or else he will be late to for office", Mom said and I nodded.

I immediately went to the room. I opened the door but I didn't saw him on the bed. I heard a water sound from the shower.

He already woke up, Mr.Punctual

I went to the walk in closet and picked an outfit for him. Then he came out of the bathroom with only towel on his waist with wet hair. I immediately looked away.

"Get ready", I said in a low voice and went towards the door.

"Where are you going my little wifey?", he said while pulling me towards him.

"Ah!", I exclaimed when I was pulled by him.

"Leave me.." , I said in a low voice being shy.

"Looking good in saree", he said while going to the closet.

I sat on the bed waiting for him outside.

"You liked it?" , I asked.

"Of course..You picked the suit?", he asked.

"Yeah", I said.

"You know..Rasi is joining the company today", I said.

"Oh..Which department is she working in?", he asked.

"Well..Our department ", I said.

"Oh..The new intern", he said.

"Does she know that...we..", he stuttered.

"Yes..She know that our relationship is a secret. She will be keeping the secret...Don't worry" , I said.

"Okay ", he said and came back to the room being dressed with a tie in his hand.

I started admiring when he was tying the tie.

"Can I tie it?", I asked. He smiled and handed me the tie.

I took the tie in my hands but he is taller than me.

"Bend a little", I said. He didn't bend and started laughing at me.

I immediately put a stool to reach his height. I showed my tongue to tease him. He chuckled at my behaviour.

I started tying the tie. I didn't even realize that he caged me in his arms.

"Perfect", I said after finishing tying the tie. My hands are around his neck and his hands are around my waist.

He slightly placed his lips on my lips. I smiled in the kiss but returned the kiss. He started drawing patterns on my waist with his fingers. My hands went to his hair pulling it.

Suddenly, we heard a knock on the door. We both break apart.

"Ah...Who is this?", he said irritatedly. I smiled hearing him.

"What is it?", I said while panting.

"Young Ma'am...Breakfast is ready. Ma'am is calling you both", a maid said.

"We will be there..you can go", I said.

"Okay ma'am ", she said.

"Come on, Let's go. Mom and Dad might be waiting", I said.

"How about we go on a date today?", he asked.

"Fine", I said.

"Come on..Let's go now", I said. We both started going downstairs.

Mom is setting the table. I immediately went to her to help her. Vicky sat in his place after wishing Good morning to mom. After few minutes, Dad came and sat.

Both mom and I served Dad and Vicky. After that we served ourselves. We completed eating the breakfast.

"Mom and Dad..We will leave now ", Vicky said when he was about to get up, Dad asked him to sit.

"Your mom and I are going to vacation house now", Dad said.

"You both be there in home not leaving the house ", Dad added.

"But Dad-" , I cut off Vicky by saying

"Okay dad..Enjoy your vacation", I said smiling. He looked at me with shock when I show my puppy eyes he just sighed.

"Okay Dad..Enjoy your vacation ", he said.

"Great!! We will leave now...Take care of the company as well..Bye guys", Dad said.

"Bye Dad and mom ....Take care", I said.

I hugged mom and Vicky hugged Dad. They both went to the vacation house through car. After they went off, Vicky looked at me.

"We had a date today?!", he whined.

"Date can be inside our house also right? Let's come early. We can cook ourselves and eat it. It will be awesome", I said excitedly.

"Sounds good to me as there are no meetings today..We can focus on our design today", he said. I nodded.

"Okay..let's go..I will drop you in college", he said.

"Okay..Let's go", I said.

I can't wait to spend some quality time with him..Yay!!
