Chapter 15: Don't be afraid

Riya's POV~
Finally we reached the part venue. I saw media taking photos of everyone. I was somewhat scared.
"Don't worry..I am here", he said while placing his hand on my hand.
His warm hand slightly assured me not to panic.
He went out and opened the door. He offered his hand and I placed my hand in his hand.
I slowly got off the car and walk inside. Before going inside, they asked us to stand near the venue. They took our photos.
Some journalists are talking interviews. So I just followed Vicky and stand beside him.
"Mr.Vikram Singh..Where is your younger brother?", a journalist asked. I panicked hearing that question.
"Mr.Vikram..Who is this lady beside you?", a journalist asked.
"Mr.Vikram..Why are you taking over your dad business now? Are you on bad terms with your younger brother?", a journalist asked.
All the journalists are pouring the questions. Vicky was normal for all these questions. He didn't answered any question. Our bodyguards are trying to get away from journalists.
"Mr.Vikram..Is it true that you married your younger brother fiancee?", a journalist asked.
"Wow...That's insane...Is she a gold digger?", another journalist said.
" How can he leave his fiancee and marry his brother in law? That's insane", another journalist.
When I heard that I was just looking down...Wherever I go I guess I am going to get insulted like this..
"Stop it!!", Vicky shouted. I flinched and Everybody got silent.
"First of all, You all need to mind who are you taking about? You guys are talking about my wife", he said while pulling me close to me.
"And..those who are saying that my wife is my younger brother fiancee...", he stopped and looked at me. I looked at him with my panic eyes. "That's true! She is my younger brother's fiancee", he said.
Everyone...including me gasped hearing that.
"We loved each other for 2 years..Our father's don't know about this and arranged their marriage. We made up our courage and told the truth to our families. Our families and even my younger brother accepted that and now is happy with his girlfriend", he said while looking at them with angry eyes. My mouth was open in shock.
"So..Stop making your own assumptions and hurt my wife", he said while pulling me closer to him by my waist.
"Don't forget you are talking about the owner of Singh Industries ", he literally threatened the media and dragged me inside the venue.
I am literally shocked hearing him saying all that.
"Now..Close your mouth", he said while looking at me.
"Huh?", I said in a daze.
"Close your mouth..Flies can go into your mouth", he said.
"Oh..Yes", I said while coming out of my daze.
After taking some deep breaths, "Why did you say all those things?", I asked.
"Why? They are talking nonsense about you", he said while glaring at them.
"I mean It doesn't matter", I said.
"Of course..It matters..Don't lower yourself for anyone..", he said.
"Okay", I said.
"Now..Let's forget all those things..Let's not ruin our mood. Just smile for me", he said while keep his hand on my cheek.
I just looked at him. Sincerity is the only thing reflecting from his eyes. I smiled looking into his eyes.
"That's like it", he said while hugging me. I hugged him.
I didn't know when I got comfortable with him...It's just I feel so secure around him.
"Let's go..", he said while breaking the hug.
"Hey...Vicky", I heard a woman voice. We both turn around to see the girl.
Land slided from my feet when I saw the man in front of me.
It's Ricky...How come he is here? I don't know anything now..I don't think I can face him now.
I immediately remove my hand from Vicky's grasp and started walking away. I started walking towards a garden area where there are no people. I immediately ran towards that garden without caring about anything. My tears are threatening to come out of my eyes.
I heard Vicky calling me but I guess I should clear my mind first..I sat down on one bench...but only one question is running in my mind..I don't know why I ran away..May be I am afraid...Afraid of what? I didn't done anything wrong..May be I am a coward.
"Riya!!", I heard a stern voice from my back. I saw Vicky is standing with an angry look. I stood looking at him.
"Let's go inside", he said. I shook my head as no.
"Do you even know what you are doing?", Vicky asked and my tears started flowing from my eyes.
He sighed looking at me.
"Sit!", he said. I sat without any other word.
He sat beside me. He pulled me towards him. I looked at him. My tears are falling continuously. He slightly wiped my tears with his fingers from my cheeks. We are so close to each other.
"Why are you running away?", he asked. I looked down.
"Did you do anything wrong?", he asked while making me look at him. My eyes widened hearing that question.
"Answer me", he said in a stern voice.
"N..No", I said in a low voice.
"Then..Why you should run away? The person who did wrong to you must run away", he said and I looked at him in shock.
"Why are you afraid when you didn't even done anything wrong?", he said while caressing my cheek.
"Listen..You need to face this sooner or later..Ricky is your brother-in-law", he said and I just sit still.
"So..Be brave..You are perfect...", he said while smiling at me.
"Always held your head high", he said in a stern voice.
"Don't be afraid...You will always see me beside you", he said. I smiled hearing him.
"So...Mrs.Riya Vikram Singh..Are you ready? Shall we greet the clients?", he said while smiling at me.
"Sure..Mr.Vikram Singh", I said while smiling at me.
"Wait...Let me check my makeup", I said. He chuckled hearing that.
"What? I must keep the reputation of being Mrs.Singh", I said.
"Haha...Sure", he said while chuckling.
"There is a restroom over there..You can fix your makeup there", he said while pointing the direction.
"Okay..You can go..I will be coming", I said.
"Okay..then I will wait for you", he said.
Then he went inside and I went to the rest room. I fixed my makeup.
When I coming out of the restroom, I started walking inside. Suddenly, I saw Ricky coming towards me.
I should run away...was my first thought....No...Why I should run away? I didn't do anything wrong..then why?
He stood in front of me.
"Hi sister-in-law ", he said while emphasizing the word 'sister-in-law'.
"Hi brother-in-law", I said while emphasizing the word 'brother-in-law'.
He smirked at me. "You didn't change at all..Same to same..", he said while disgustingly smiling at me.
"Yes..You are also a jerk like before nothing changed ", I said.
"You little...", Ricky said.
"What? ", I said.
"Riya...", I heard Vicky's voice.
"Yes..", I said and Vicky came behind me.
"Ricky..Don't come near her..", Vicky said with an angry tone.
"Bro..She likes me..Do you think it's possible?", Ricky said with a sarcasm while looking at me. I looked at Vicky. He didn't say anything..
Doesn't he know I am his wife? Why is he not saying anything?
My blood boiled hearing that...Yes..My mistake is to like him...
I pulled Vicky away.
"I used to like you..Right now...I am his wife..So I will only like him..I will only love him", I said. Ricky went pale hearing that.
"You are joking...That can't be true", he said while stuttering.
"What can't be true? We are legally married..I think I might be a pregnant in few days..I will defintely make you an uncle in few days", I started saying anything I want in anger. I lost my temper.
"Riya.. Calm down", Vicky said while holding my shoulder.
"N..No...Th..That's not true", Ricky said.
"Okay..Then let me prove that", I said while pulling Vicky closer to me. I placed my lips on his lips. I kissed him passionately.
"That's enough right? So stop bothering me and my husband ", I said while looking at him.
"Ricky baby", I heard a female voice and saw his girlfriend coming towards us.
"Take your b***h and get out of my sight", I said while Ricky gasped hearing the words.
"Riya...Language?!", Vicky said on angry tone.
"Riya..Today you cross many limits..Do you even know the guy who called your husband helped me to escape?", Ricky said.
"What are you trying to do Ricky?", Vicky said.
"Yes..I know..He helped you..", I said.
"You know it but still you are supporting him", Ricky asked.
"Because...He f*****g didn't lie..He f*****g told the truth", I said.
"Hey..Stop cursing you b***h", his girlfriend said.
"Take your puppy away from me then", I said while looking at him.
"You husband has a girlfriend ", Ricky said.
"He broke up with her after thr next day of marriage", I said.
"Well done.. Big brother..I like how honest you are..", Ricky sarcastically smiled.
"Stop messing with us", I said.
"Let's go Vicky...He will talk nonsense again", I said while moving away from them. I took Vicky's hand and going inside.
"Riya...One minute..Do you even know your husband except his name? Do you even know what tomorrow is? Where is he going tomorrow?", Ricky asked while smirking at Vicky.
"Where he will be going? He will be coming to office", I said while losing temper.
"What happened big brother? You didn't tell her about this..", Ricky asked.
"Want me to tell her", Ricky smirked. Vicky punched him on the stomach.
"Shut up", Vicky said.
"Vicky...You can't do this", Ricky's girlfriend said.
How is she talking so freely with Vicky? Does she know him? How can she know him?
"I am not in the state to learn from you", Vicky said and dragged me away from them.
