Familiar? That word circled my brain? What could possibly be familiar? Did we have a traitor? Or maybe they smelled the other guards' scent on the clothes? They train this morning before breakfast. I felt my legs go numb as the sound of heavy footsteps got closer. I covered my mouth with my hand. If I breathed too heavily they might search the basket. I couldn't see anything. I could barely hear what was happening. I heard the footsteps fade as it sounded like someone walking away. I slowly pushed the breath I was holding out of my mouth.
