I woke up curled into a ball. My feet and hands were freezing. My blanket did little to keep me warm, but at least it was warmer than being outside. My body ached as I stretched myself flat before I got up. My clock still hadn't screamed to wake me up. There were about ten minutes left, but I couldn't take the cold anymore. The laundry room might be warmer. Normally, I'd sleep on the laundry room floor when it started snowing outside. The thing is, I haven't seen snow until now. The little window was covered in white icy crystals. Normally, I like watching the snow fall onto the window. I pictured myself standing outside and feeling the tiny specks on my face.
