"Some things can't be fixed by just hitting back," Elvis said flatly. Encouraged by his protection, Yuki pushed further.
"Elvis, you didn't hear how vicious she was just now!"
He didn't even glance at her, his eyes locked on Alicia's face—where he thought he saw confusion flicker, though it might've been his imagination.
"I'm returning that slap," Alicia swore, putting all her strength into the motion, but Elvis's grip held firm.
