Bella’s pov
I woke up from the darkness, my heart pounding rapidly. Haydn, still half-asleep, but instinctively patted my back. Ever since I became pregnant, he had been keeping a close eye on me at night, anticipating any needs I might have.
"Bella, you're sweating a lot on your back. Were you having a nightmare?" Haydn asked, woke up by my movements.
"I don't remember, but the terrifying feeling scared me."
"I'm here, no one can hurt you."
In a drowsy state, I drifted back to sleep, this time without any bad dreams, sleeping well.
