Bloody Hell

The next morning, Adira woke up in extreme discomfort. When she went to the bathroom to empty her bladder, she swore. Today was not going to be her lucky day, was it? Coinciding with her unfortunate luck, she looked and saw that the basket the girls had placed by the toilet was empty, although Adira could have sworn she had filled it up a few days ago. “Molly! I need you to come here, please!” Adira called, hoping that Molly was even the slightest bit awake. “Please? I need some help here!” To Adira’s delight, Molly pushed the bathroom door open moments later. “What do you need, Adira? It’s five in the damn morning,” Molly grumbled, rubbing hereyes. She glanced at the empty basket Adira had pulled out and sighed. “Nevermind. Let me see if I have anything hidden in my bag.” Five minutes later, Adira was wrapped in her blankets with perfectly clean clothes. Then she felt it: her gut clenching and twisting, causing her to curl up into the fetal position with a soft whimper. Molly rubbed her sister’s back, thankful that she wouldn’t have to deal with these pains until she found her mate. At exactly seven o’clock, King Seth knocked on their door. Adira, who’d been lying awake for the past two hours, stayed perfectly silent while Molly continued to sleep. King Seth knocked one more time before leaving. “They must have already left for breakfast,” he muttered to himself as he left. “Molly!” Adira whisper-yelled once she knew King Seth was out of earshot. “You have to get up!” Molly reluctantly sat up. She glanced at the clock on her nightstand before realizing why Adira insisted on waking her up again. They both knew that King Seth would be back when he couldn’t find them in the kitchen. And they were right. Less than ten minutes later, they heard another knock on their door. “Are you ladies awake?” they heard King Seth ask from his side of the door. Molly glanced at Adira, who nodded. She slipped out of her bed and out the door without opening the door too much. There was no way that King Seth could see inside the room. From her bed, Adira could faintly hear the two of them talking. “Where is Adira?” “She isn’t feeling well, and she doesn’t want to accidentally get anyone else sick,” Molly explained, lying slightly. “Tell her that I hope she feels better soon. If either of you two need anything today, be sure to ask.” “Of course. Thank you, King Seth.” His footsteps faded as he left the two girls alone for the rest of the day.
