*From Rome's perspective*
Ever since I returned from my date, I have been unable to focus. Every time I close my eyes, my mind wanders. Her lips, the way they move when she talks. Her eyes, the way they glow when she laughs, the way they hold so much power over me already. I imagine the way her t**s sit upon her chest, big enough to need a decent bra, but not too big to overwhelm her frame. The way they sit ever so perfect on her chest, her t-shirt stretched just the right amount. Nothing makes me want to hold them more, to feel their softness, the hard n*****s, showing me her pleasure. I feel my c**k rise, I imagine teasing her n****e in my mouth, as she watches me.
"ALPHA"
I jump, having completely forgotten that I was in a meeting. I feel guilty, I barley know the girl and yet i'm already thinking about pleasing her. Ugh get a hold of yourself.
"Sorry Luna Bria," I sigh, looking up at her. "what were you saying?" Luna Bria gives me an understanding look. I had told her about last night of-course. Alpha Jade uncomfortably stares at me.
I haven't told him about Hera yet. I also don't plan to. He won't be pleased, I know. She is human. Not my mate. Not a werewolf. I came here to heal. And prepare to be the leader of my pack when my Dad retires. Due to my lack of mate, my marriage will be a political deal, between mine and another pack. It's sad but has to be done.
Luna Bria nods at me and continues, "As I was saying, we have a group of 8 teenagers," I roll my eyes, I know what is about to come. And I am not overly pleased. "who have shown certain, above average, skills, that could be beneficial to our pack. With the right guidance of course." I glance at Alpha Jade, to see if there is anyway out. His serious smile tells me there isn't. I have to train these kids.
I love the fact that I am going to be a real Alpha one day. I mean... I am a real Alpha now, I just don't have full responsibilities until my Father hands the power to me. I love everything about being me, being an Alpha. But the one thing, I ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT STAND... is training kids. I am aware of my age, barley not a child. However, I like to think I have some level of maturity. Kids will always try to show off, especially in front of an Alpha. They will fight. They will be petty. They will play dirty. Which, I suppose, is not a bad thing. Prepares them for battle and whatnot. It just irks me. Plus... I have much better things to think about, or even do.
Grimacing, I respond. Dreading the 5 hours a day, for a whole month, I have to spend with these gremlins. "Of Course. I would absolutely LOVE to train these wannabe warriors." I know Luna can sense my sarcasm. But I don't care.
Don't get me wrong. I love kids, I want my own one day. I just hate other peoples kids. They are so irritating.
*Training grounds*
I love training. The love for training also comes with the love for the grounds. Its peaceful, focusing on the punching bag in-front of me, or the climbing ropes. A much needed destruction from the girl that's constantly in my head, after I met her, less than 24 hours ago. And so I send her a good morning text, and then I prepare myself for the next 5 hours.
Standing in-front of me are 7 kids. One is missing. Or late. I don't particularly care. They waste my time. I waste theirs. Simple. Glancing at the kids in-front of me, I see some potential. Ones that could one day become generals or Beta's, if they focus and try. I see a cocky one, he will not fair well under my command, I will push him, until his ego is knocked down enough. Eventually he will be worth something. They all will be. They are all stood still, looking strait forward, not even flinching.
•Test 1•
Now for their first test. Not even a physical one. I test my soldiers to the limit. Its the ONLY way to make warriors that will survive. I walk round them all. Watching. Daring one to even move a eyelash. Walking round them twice, I stand right in-front of the cocky one. I know he will fail this test. They all will. I lean forward, looking right into his eyes, and I yell. Sharp and quick. He flinches and I smile, preparing to yell.
"LAPS. ALL OF YOU NOW. RUN AROUND THIS FIELD 5 TIMES. If anyone is caught slacking. You will ALL repeat until I am satisfied. Do. You. Understand."
The look of fear on their faces really does make the chore of teaching them so much more bearable.
"Yes Sir!" They reply.
"LOUDER."
"YES SIR!" Hmm, now they are getting it. I stand there. Watching to see who will take control. Lead. It takes a while, but eventually it catches on, that I am not going to tell them when to start. They have to lead themselves. And there, there it was. The leader, a girl, slightly younger than the others. Tall. She leads the way. And they follow her. It took me by surprise that she would be the leader, but i'm satisfied. I watch them complete the first lap. Somehow that girl stays in front. Surprisingly fast. Hmm.
I pull out my phone, not expecting to see much, it's 4 am after all. But there was a text waiting for me, from her. My heart races a little, wondering what she had said. Opening the text, my heart skips a beat.
"Good morning Rome. I slept well thank you. I really enjoyed talking to you last night. xx" Geez, I really have to get a grip on myself. Why am I reacting so much to just a simple text.
I glance up at the field, they are on their second lap. It was kind of harsh of me to make them all run 5 KM this early in the morning. But it gives me some peace and quiet. Plus, when they are running or fighting for their lives, they will be thanking me.
Impulsively, I look back down at my phone. How do I reply to her message, without seeming odd. To a human it is weird to be this obsessed already. I mean, I had kissed the poor girl less than 12 hours after meeting her. That's not normal. She didn't complain which gives me some hope. I'm free after 9, perks of training those still in school, I guess.
"I really enjoyed talking to you last night too, would you like to grab dinner tonight? On me, of course. If you want to hang out before, I am free from 9am." I contemplate adding an x like she did, but I decide not to, I will let her lead the way.
Just as I pressed send, all 7 kids finish their 5th lap. Surprisingly quick considering it was their first official training session. Back into their original positions, I decide to continue test 1. That they all originally failed. This time I chose the girl, the previous leader. Unknown to her that she was to be the victim of the next test. I wanted to see how she would react. Already surpassing her classmates in leadership and running tasks. Pacing in circles around the group, I know they are expecting a shock, they just don't know when, or how.
On my second lap round the kids, I stop, in-front of the cocky boy. Fear flashed across his face, which made me giggle.
"Name." I demand, almost spitting on him. Again, he flinches.
"Harvey, Sir." Internally, I sigh. For such an outwardly confident kid, he lacks guts. As a warrior you HAVE to have guts. If you don't, you are as good as dead. Flinching repeatedly will not help him survive, or fight.
"5 Laps. If you stop. Your 5 Laps will start again. Take a bottle of water with you." He hesitates. "You know what I hate more than flinching... hesitation. Hesitation will no doubt get you killed. If it is a loosing battle, run. NOW!" I yell, in his face. No hesitation this time.
I continue pacing around the group of now 6 kids. I stop in-front of a smaller boy. I have learnt from the past to never underestimate small people, surprisingly fast and agile.
"Name." I whisper. Something I knew he would not expect. I wanted to see if he would copy me, or yell like before.
"Grayson, Sir." He whispers back. I nod in approval. He passed my test.
"Well done, Grayson. In battle we have to prepare for EVERYTHING. If he had yelled," I looked at the other 5 kids, "we could all be dead. Our position could have been comprised." I continued looking back at the small boy. "You can sit down for 8 minutes. No more." Grayson thanks me, and runs off to the bench. Satisfied, I continue my pacing.
The remaining 5 kids are now expecting anything to happen. So I have to be creative. Walking in-between two girls, I catch the scent of some perfume. Who in their right mind wears perfume to training. Making my opinion known, I stop, right in-front of the girl.
"Name!" I ask. Normally this time. She has already failed.
"Grace, Sir." I don't react and I can see the confusion across her face. It's almost funny.
"Grace, why are you wearing perfume." I question, already knowing the answer.
"uh, I like the smell." I chuckle. "Grace, do you know who else likes the smell?" She shakes her head. "Our enemies. Your stench is already identifying enough. Let alone perfume. In battle, you can hide your scent, or it gets lost in the blood of others fallen before you. What you can't hide, is the sickly sweet, fake smell of perfume. NOW... Run 5 laps. If you stop, you will have to restart."
Now the group is down to 4 kids. Immediately I walk to the quieter boy. He seems older than the others, just so quiet. I want to challenge that.
"NAME!" I bellow. Surprisingly, he did not flinch.
"JUSTIN SIR!!!!!" He shouts back, louder than me. Something I did not expect. I grinned and pat his back pointing to the bench where Grayson was sat.
Down to 3. I know they expect to be challenged. They are waiting ever so patiently. So I just stand in-front of them. Waiting. Nothing happens. As expected.
As Harvey returns, I inwardly sigh, until that kid learns his place, our lives are going to be very difficult. Surprisingly the girl who lead the run earlier moved. At first I was disappointed, until she spoke.
"Harvey. Restart your run," I looked at her confused. "you were one lap short." I gasped. Somehow she had passed the test, I didn't even tell her I was running.
"Name." I ask her, genuinely impressed.
"Hazel, Sir!" She stated, staring right in-front of her.
"Stand behind me, to the left." She obeyed.
I look at the last 2. 1 boy, 1 girl. I pity them, neither overly stood out. But as warriors, that could be a good thing.
"Names." The boy looks at the girl and nods.
"Emily, Sir."
"Sam, Sir."
I nod. At least they had enough common sense to not interrupt each-other.
"Everyone, back into position. Wait for the runners to come back, then you are dismissed."
I turn around and walk away. Who cares if they wait for the runners or not. Im busy. Opening my phone, I look down to a text from Hera.
"I'm working today, i'm free from 6pm, I will send my address in a minute. If want to pick me up. xx"
Kisses again.
If I don't watch myself I may end up falling in love.
