CHAPTER 4Awakening on the bathroom floor, Maggie realized that she must have fallen out of the shower and bumped her head. She dismissed the craziness of the weird dream. What is wrong with me? she thought as she pushed herself up off the tile. As soon as the pressure of her body weight found her right hand, she emitted a long painful scream. Her pinky finger, at the second joint, was turned all the way to the side. Upon looking at the deformed finger, Maggie felt the room tilt as she passed out.
