CHAPTER 8Before taking the highway into Taupe City, Jonathan, knowing what Riley wanted, made a detour. He turned into the neighborhood where Riley and Allison’s first home sat. Held inside the walls were the promises and dreams for a future that would never come. Riley noticed all the new home builds and knew his real estate agent, Alex, was correct about how quickly the area would grow.
