CHAPTER 21Once back in the emergency room, it didn’t take long to get Maggie’s broken finger put back into a splint. Dr. Ramsfeld said the x-ray showed a clean break. She would wear the splint for six weeks and then see her internist to check that it was healing properly.
Riley contemplated how to remove Maggie from this equation. By simply being near him, he felt certain her life could be at risk too.
