Gerard knocked tentatively on Elor"s door – no reply. He cleared his throat dramatically and knocked again, a little louder. He was standing in the corridor, bouncing on his heels. It really was imperative that he speak to Elor. Even after everything he had seen, all his learning and adventures, he still trusted the opinions of his old master and he needed to hear from Elor that he wasn"t imagining things. The louder knock did nothing. He had known Elor long enough to know that it was possible he was so absorbed in something he was reading that he had literally blocked out all sounds.
