ExplanationsIndaba – this is actually a Zulu word meaning ‘business or matter’. It is the word given to an important discussion, and traditionally take place under a large tree for shade. (It is also used in the Scout Association for the same purpose). Colloquially, it has also come to mean a big fuss. I’ve pinched it for the Tartarians and stretched it’s meaning somewhat. The Tartarians bear very little resemblance to the Zulu except perhaps that you wouldn’t want to start a war with either. Indaba I’ve also borrowed other words from various other languages.
