Vahe-rahu2 Vektig-Indaba is a clan-tongue expression meaning ‘important meeting’ – or a big ‘indaba’ Indaba is a clan-tongue expression originally translated as an ‘important meeting to discuss clan business, in which everybody would be allowed a say’. More colloquially, the term has come to mean an enormous fuss caused by a small group of people who have been drinking and suddenly discover that they violently disagree with either other or someone else, usually over the price of something on sale at the Horse Fayre. This meaning has been stretched to cover any large, convoluted and unnecessary disturbances over a trivial matter.
