Rose steps close to me a with a warm smile she reminds me if you are wanting to enjoy the blue moon by the lake it’s best you leave now. The what? Blue moon Nyoka what does she mean? The full blue moon should be out soon we should go now. Nyoka seems tired so I silently obey. Stepping outside I am at first not sure where to go but Nyoka tells me to follow my nose. I take a deep breath and smell clean crisp water. I head in the direction of the lake. The closer I get the more I smell the clean mountain air, the smells of the forest and flowers nearby. Stepping closer to the lake into a clearing I feel a strange tingling sensation in the air. Mmm so Gabby was right this place Is protected by blessed magic to ward off darkness. We need to shift to receive our blessing from the moon goddess Selene. I not sure how to shift Nyoka could you explain it to be? I ask her feeling a bit afraid because last time hurt so bad. No need to fear the shift each time gets easier and all you need to do is picture yourself in beast form. Umm well ya see that’s a lot easier said than done when I don’t even know what I looked like. I understand I honestly forgot that your first shift was short lived. I will guid us but I need to warn you that when I force the shift It will not feel pleasant. It won’t feel painful but very uncomfortable for a few moments. Thanks for the heads up I will try to not resist. I start to feel very warm and as the warmth spreads through my body it gets much hotter. Just as the heat spreads across my entire body I feel my bones shift. It’s definitely not painful like the first time but the heat is too much. I am gasping for air and then it all stops. I open my eyes to see so much color. My vision is intensified all the sounds are so loud and all the smells are on over drive. Take some deep breaths and let’s start by walking to the lake. I am excited to be able to see what Nyoka looks like. Walking was super natural feeling . I get to the edge of the lake and look down into the crystal clear water. I gasp but it’s a scuff sound that comes out. The reflection in the lake is a magnificent albino panther with the brightest teal eyes I have ever seen. My eyes look like I am wearing the animal version of eye liner. My pearl white coat shines like glitter with silver circular spots. We are stunning I tell Nyoka and she hums her approval. It’s time Rylie we will receive our final blessing from the moon goddess. I lay down to be prepared for the unexpected. I suddenly feel exhausted and before I can react my eyes close. I hear Nyoka as I drift off telling me it’s okay Rylie don’t fight it. I open my eyes but I am no longer at the lake. Above my head the blue moon is still high in the sky. I ask Nyoka if we are dreaming but she doesn’t answer me. Actually it’s pretty quiet in my head again like before. I just started to get used to Nyoka being there and now it feels empty. Just as I start to beep upset I hear foot steps behind me. I turn to see a beautiful woman about my height, slender, with sliver hair down to her waist and glowing teal eyes. Beside her walks up an albino panther with the same glowing teal eyes. Hello daughter the lady smiles warmly. I look at her confused and look down at Nyoka. I understand you are very confused about all of this. I blessed you with my favorite moon child Nyoka. You two have been paired for thousands of years. Thousands of years, how’s that possible? My child you have been reborn paired together when the world needs help. You are blessed with so many gifts but there is two things you have wanted more than anything else. I bless you with all your past memories and a mate. A mate? What’s a mate and the memories will help so I understand about this supernatural lifestyle. I wish we had more time but it is time to go my child. We will meet again but just remember to trust your instincts. She hugs me warmly and the embrace feels so motherly. She smells like clovers and honey kinda sweet with a spicy undertone. I feel my eyes close on their own and when I reopen them I am back at the lake. Don’t stand back up yet Nyoka tells me. I feel a bit warm and Nyoka tells me our memories will be our first blessing we will receive. I see our lives flash through one at a time. We have lived six lives this being our seventh life together. Each life is worse than the next. The first life started out with me losing my family then I was enslaved and beaten. I gained my beast and saved the world but died in the end. My second life it was my family that beat and enslaved me till I gained my beast saved the world and died in the end. My third and fourth life I was sold to rogue creatures who used me every way possible. I got my beast late but was killed from people I trusted as my friends. My fifth and sixth lives I was captured and chased by creatures after my power and was killed by the man I fell in love with. I wasn’t given a mate and because of the lack of bond they became jealous of our power and murdered me. I noticed that in none of my prior lives did I know true love. I was lost and abused given no reason to sacrifice myself for this world but I still saved it time and time again.
