Linus enjoyed the feeling of the warm water cascading down his nude body, soaking him from his usually slicked back brown hair down to his feet. His hands were pressed against the wall as he savored the water that seemed to relieve his fatigue from a day of deathly training.
There was no part of his body that did not cry out in pain. He missed no part of his body and did not let it rest. He beat every part of his body with practice and did not stop until the vein in his neck almost exploded and he was out of breath. He did not stop until he was kneeling in exhaustion.
His eyes were focused on the drain where the mud-like color could be seen coming from his body by rolling in the mud. Along with that mud was a small amount of blood from the small wounds he got from his intense training. Or maybe his nose is bleeding or he already vomited blood?
Linus chuckled coldly and reached for the soap before lathering his well-built body with it. Juliet will often rant about him using up one whole bar for his whole body and at five feet ten inches, he's not really that small either. Even Henry was six feet and her husband only grew five inches taller than her.
When he's done almost using up the soap, he then lathered his hair with his coconut shampoo. Linus does not have any particular preference when it comes to soap, but he prefers his hair smelling like coconut most of the time. It reminds him of back when he's still in Hope Orphanage, when all the children were all using the same shampoo and they would smell each others' hair and giggled.
It gives him some sort of a peace of mind. It brought back a few good memories from his childhood. Few because most are sh*** and he can't be bothered to even remember any of it.
It's been nine years and he's no longer the ten year-old boy who ran away from them. He's now a nineteen year-old guy who's ready to take the next big step of his life.
After his much needed shower, Linus stepped out of the small shower stall and stood in front of the middle-sized mirror, just enough for you to see half of your body. He wiped the fog from the mirror and leaned his hand against the sink to stare at his face and body.
Deep-set of mismatched eyes are now staring back at him with emotions as blank as a canvas in front of a painter who lost his will to paint. The right one is a gorgeous shade of blue while the left one is as blue as the sky. A shame they look so boring and cursed to Linus. His usually slicked back jet black hair now wet and almost covering his eyes. On top of his eyes are a pair of medium arched eyebrows that often bleeds whenever he fights. His nose with an overprotective tip has a fresh cut in the middle. Downward turned lips that are often pressed into a thick line and smile rarely grace it anymore. Down to the right side of his neck, you will see a vertical 'Alone' tattoo that he got when he turned sixteen and got an earful from his adoptive Mother.
Linus snatched his towel and began to dry his body with it and wrap it around his waist before reaching for a smaller one and drying his hair with it. When he's done, he throws it on the hamper and reaches for his color brown contact lens and puts it on.
He might have grown up, but his hatred for his own eyes also grew. For Linus, his eyes are the source of all of his misfortunes and he will not drag his adoptive family into his mess any more than they already are. Linus tried so hard not to be a burden to them. He even tried several part-time jobs to help them, and hiding his cursed eyes gave some sort of reassurance to him somehow. Because Linus hates looking at them and people seeing them.
Linus walked out of their simple bathroom and the radio he left is still playing softly in the background. Love Me For What I Am is currently playing, and Linus hummed softly to the tune before snatching a pair of fresh shorts and brief for him to wear. For him, classing songs are still better than most songs these days. Linus hates the feeling of his d*** swinging and moving along with his every move because he moves a lot. The only disadvantage of wearing briefs is it bulges, but who hates it really?
He stopped when his eyes connected to a whiteboard standing in the middle of his clean and tidy room. There you can see the information they were able to gather about the man who killed Tyler. His eyes narrowed and he stepped closer to it. The Levisay family. The family he's about to destroy and he couldn't wait anymore. No. Linus waited enough and tonight, tonight he will kill Lucas 'Napoleon' Levisay even if it will cost him his life. The only reason he has enough will to live is the hatred pumping through his veins.
His eyes slid from the current leader of the Levisay clan to the former leader and to the remaining members of Levisay clan. His eyes stopped at a guy a year younger than him. His eyes studied the face he's been staring at for God knows how long. The guy has a square-shaped face that gives him that intimidating aura, but his eyes, God his eyes are nothing but intimidating. His eyes are the most beautiful pair of eyes Linus has seen. A pair of hooded eyes as bright as the f ****** sky stares back at him. With his eyes so blue you would think he was blind. The moment he first saw him, he wondered how those eyes will look staring up at him as he f *** the hell out of him. Linus' eyes followed his dorsal hump nose to his reddish heavy lower lips. His jaw tightened as he wondered how they would feel wrapped around him. His eyes went back to his straight, thick eyebrows to his thick sandy blonde hair that seemed so soft and perfect to play with his fingers. Added to his charm is the caramel color of his skin that he inherited from his biological Mother because Lucas is white as most.
Abe Levisay is a sight to behold, but alas, he's also a forbidden fruit. The son of his mortal enemy, and he will not taste someone as poisonous as him.
"Abe Levisay. I'm sorry, but you will probably lose your Father tomorrow." Linus' cold voice said to himself and to the picture.
"Are you really going through your plan tonight, Linus?"
Linus did not turn his head to his adoptive Father because he already heard his footsteps. Linus has learned the art of sharpening his other senses and he knows their movements. While his Father has slow, but careful footsteps, Juliet has soft and feather-like footsteps.
"Yes." Linus replied to the man who taught him the things he knew before taking the picture of Lucas Levisay from the board and showing it to Henry. "This man will die by my hands tonight."
Henry stared at him for a few seconds before he sighed and sat on a single couch located in his room. "You're still so young, don't be so rash and eager to get your revenge, Linus. I'm afraid you'll just get hurt."
Linus' jaw ticked and he crumpled the photo before throwing it in his trash can. "I've waited enough, Henry. I am strong enough to kill him now. I am no longer the child they took who couldn't do anything."
"The Levisay is the largest, strongest and not to mention, the wealthiest clan there is in the underground business, Linus. They are already billionaires even without their underground business. Lucas probably has, what? Fifty men surrounding him. At least let me go with ---"
Linus cut him off by shaking his head. "No." he stared at Henry with a troubled look on his face. "Not this again, Henry. You've helped me enough and I couldn't thank you enough for that, but I won't put you through this. I won't be the reason for your death. I won't do that to Juliet . F***. At least even if I die, no one will shed a tear. I will not leave a loved one behind." Linus told the man for the umpteenth time and plopped down his bed with his knuckles touching in front of him.
"How about Jeremy?" Henry asked, clearly teasing him by using his former f*** buddy's name.
Linus snorted a laugh. "He's nothing now. He knew what we had so don't even use his clingy ass."
"Come on, son. The guy obviously has feelings for you." Henry added with a laugh.
Linus made a look of disgust, as if the thought of someone having feelings for him disgusts him, and maybe it does.
"I don't do love. I f*** and don't kiss and cuddle."
Henry's expression turned serious once more. "We care for you, son. You know that, right?" Henry asked him softly and Linus avoided his gaze before clenching his fist.
"I know. That's why I won't drag you into this. This is the problem I must face myself." he answered and shut his eyes tight. "Please don't tell Juliet. If... If I ever showed up again, tell her I went on my way to find myself, okay? That way, she'll be able to forget about me."
Henry stares at him with a soft-look on his face before he stands up and yanks his for a hug. "You are my son, Linus. You are carrying my name. I don't care how strong that man is, you take care of yourself. If you find yourself in a difficult situation, promise me you'll run back to us, alright? "
Linus smiled a little, but not enough to notice it. "I promise, Dad."
And he knew that promise is a lie because Linus will not run. He either succeeds or die trying.
That night when both of them were asleep, Linus sneaked out with his backpack. In his bag contains his combat knife, a handgun that Henry passes to him. Five bottles of tear gas and a mask for himself. A black robber mask to hide his face and everything else he'll need. Linus already made sure that they will never be able to identify him even if he died. The last thing he wants is for them to go after Henry and Juliet.
His blood is pumped with excitement because finally, finally his hard work will pay off. He will get his revenge tonight or never. Linus got everything planned out for years now. He already memorized the Mansion so he knows where he will go in and out. With every passing day that he will stealthily walk or move almost there, he was able to figure out where and at what time there were more guards and fewer. He also secretly remembered what time Lucas Levisay often came home.
He will not commit suicide, but avenge someone important to him's life and if his life is the substitute for success, he will happily leave the world.
Before finally entering the mansion, Linus looked up at the sky and tried to find what star Tyler was. "This is for you, big brother."
As planned, Linus entered a nearby estuary. The estuary will point the way into the mansion's massive yard. He endured the smell and dirt and walked along the familiar road he had tried several times to enter. He caught up with the running rats illuminated by his flashlight. When he reached the end, he saw the stairs going up and climbed up without hesitation. Because he had gradually opened the cement blocking the entrance, it was no longer difficult for him to remove the cover. Slowly and quietly, he pushed it before peeking and made sure no one was there before Linus went up and closed the passage again. Next he made every move nimbly and carefully as he entered a small abandoned window. Linus avoided every security camera in sight and used clothing before breaking the window to reduce the noise it created. He tried to fit his body there and did not mind that some broken pieces are sinking into his skin.
There was no sound as his feet landed on the concrete ground and darkness greeted him. Linus immediately grabbed his gun and the knife before turning on the light attached to his head. The light it's giving was enough for him to see and he correctly concluded that he had entered an old storage room. Moments later, he saw a door with the light outside peeking through the small gap.
One thing Linus noticed in a few years of observation was that Lucas Levisay didn’t want a lot of staff inside his mansion. That is why most are outside and only a few are inside.
Linus has no plans to fight them or to hurt Lucas' family. His plan was to kill him and that was it. He will avoid fighting with his men because he will definitely be defeated.
He slowly opened the door and thanked the Heaven's that it's not locked, and turned off the flashlight before peeking out. He glanced down the long hallway and clicked his tongue because he had nowhere to hide if he encountered anyone, but it was too late to retreat. If he meets anyone, he will just fight.
Linus hurried out and made sure no security camera could see him and drove down the long hallway. He breathed a sigh of relief when no one met him and peeked in and saw the large living room with no one to see. It was then that Linus was slightly surprised by the absence of his men. Was there really only a few people in the house or... did he fall into a trap?
Whatever. He is here so he will finish what he started.
He once entered the mansion pretending to be a plumber, but because of his limited time and destination, he was unable to memorize the entire mansion due to its massive structure. It could be mistaken as a Hotel.
When he walked around for a few more minutes, Linus is now sure that he fell into a trap without seeing anyone. And when he turned at another hallway, he was met with a gun that is now pointed at his forehead.
