Art Giants“What are those?” Venus jumped up and pointed off to the side. I looked too. Giants and huge animals stood posing among the trees of the forest. None of them random. The humans were posed as if important. The animals in mid action as if jumping or trotting or cuddling. Everyone of them seemed vital and critical to something silently unsaid. Gypsy shouted up to us, “They’re sculptures. Statues left by some artist.” “I wish I could trade something for one,” Venus said, her eyes wide and watching the statues pass. “One of these would look great in front of our main building. Currently there’s only an empty square in front of it.” We passed one close and I was amazed by the detail. It was a naked man in the pose of running, and I was certain I could see individual eye lashes.
