CHAPTER 20   Conal     Conal leaped across dead bodies to chase after Bryok. Torgreth saw him race away. “Where you going?” “I’ll be back,” Conal shouted over his shoulder, plunging into the forest. Up ahead, he saw the struggling Bryok weaving unsteadily up the mountain. “Stop. What are you doing?” Ignoring him, Bryok pressed on, staggering doggedly forward. “Stop. Where are you going? You need help.” Conal dodged trees to catch up, surprised that the mortally wounded man could maintain such a pace. Conal’s speed kicked in and he managed to overtake the druid as he struggled over a rock cropping. “Help me,” Bryok gasped, lifting a weak hand to point higher up to what appeared to be a cave opening. “Where are you going?” Conal grabbed Bryok’s arm and placed it over his shoulder,
