CHAPTER 5 Gwen Gwen was relieved when Aimil said they would wait until nightfall to escape. Her blistered feet were sore and she needed to rest. The guards opened the doors and a young elven girl entered, carrying a tray of fresh fruits, cheeses, a loaf of bread, and some wooden plates. Kirith played host and divvied up the food onto the plates, then handed them to Gwen and Aimil. “Is this a snack?” Gwen asked. “No. It’s dinner time here, and even prisoners get fed.” “This is what elves eat for dinner?
