It was instinct that made Jack stand up and throw his arms around the other man, squeezing Harry in a tight hug. “It"s gonna be okay,” he said, patting his friend on the back. “She"s a smart kid; she"ll survive.”
They moved deeper into the cave, as deep as they could go before the tunnel ended in an open area about the size of the average person"s living room. As he ran his flashlight back and forth, Jack saw nothing but rock walls with minerals that sparkled.
