I made my way through the house, searching for her and, to my surprise, I found her where I left her.
To my luck, she was alone. I am pretty sure Zack went to make sure that the three idiots got the farewell of a lifetime. He enjoyed giving our guests lots of love like that. He was one of the best at getting information out of people, with creativity levels that scare me sometimes, but he only does it because he needs to do it. There is very little pleasure in that for him.
Madeline was sitting in the same place I left her a few moments ago, drinking the same cup of coffee and staring through the window.
