Literature Club Sleepover Chaos

CHAPTER 26 (Leanne’s POV) The literature club should never be allowed to make plans. Because somehow— Every single plan immediately turned into chaos. It started when rain trapped everyone inside the clubroom again after classes ended. Chris dramatically laid across the floor while staring at the ceiling. “I don’t want to go home.” Carl looked up from his phone. “You said that yesterday.” “And I meant it emotionally.” Kai sighed while organizing cups near the kitchen area. “You’re being dramatic again.” “I’m always dramatic.” “That’s the problem.” Meanwhile Mika sat beside Carl while aggressively admiring his arms without shame. Leanne still hadn’t recovered from that behavior. Mika pointed at Carl’s bicep dramatically. “How are your arms literally bigger than my future.” Carl nearly choked on his drink. “…What kind of sentence is that?” “The truth.” Chris looked deeply offended. “Why are you obsessed with him.” Mika pointed again. “LOOK AT HIM.” “I HAVE MUSCLES TOO.” “Where?” “THAT WAS EVIL.” Leanne burst into laughter while Ren quietly hid behind his book like he regretted existing near these people. Then suddenly— Mika gasped dramatically. “We should have a sleepover.” Silence. Everyone looked at her. Chris immediately sat upright. “Oh my gosh.” Carl already looked tired. “That reaction worries me.” “It’ll be fun!” Mika insisted dramatically. “Movies, snacks, games, chaos—” “You just described Chris naturally,” Ren muttered. “THANK YOU.” Leanne laughed quietly while Kai crossed his arms. “…Where exactly are we even doing this?” Chris immediately grinned. “My house.” Everyone froze. Carl sighed instantly. “…Absolutely not.” “Why not?!” “Because last time you hosted something, the kitchen nearly exploded.” “That was ONE accident.” Kai looked exhausted. “There was fire.” “Small fire.” Leanne stared at them in disbelief. “…You almost burned the mansion down?” Chris pointed dramatically at Kai. “HE LEFT ME ALONE.” “You put metal inside a microwave.” “I WAS CURIOUS.” Mika collapsed into laughter while Carl rubbed his forehead tiredly. Then unexpectedly— Ren quietly spoke. “…A sleepover sounds nice.” Silence. Everyone slowly turned toward him. Ren blinked. “…Why are you looking at me like that?” Chris gasped emotionally. “REN WANTS FRIENDSHIP.” “I regret speaking.” Too late. Chris already launched himself dramatically toward Ren. “WE’RE HAVING A SLEEPOVER.” Carl sighed. Kai looked like he already accepted defeat. And somehow— Leanne realized they were actually doing this. Dangerous. Very dangerous. --- Later that evening— The Reyes mansion became complete chaos. Leanne stood near the massive entrance while staring upward in shock. “…This house is ridiculous.” “It has seven living rooms,” Mika whispered dramatically. “WHY DOES ANYONE NEED SEVEN.” Chris proudly opened his arms. “Welcome to emotional damage mansion.” Carl sighed deeply. “That is not what it’s called.” Kai carried several grocery bags toward the kitchen while muttering about irresponsible children. Meanwhile Ren quietly removed his shoes while looking slightly overwhelmed by the chaos already. Soon— The entire mansion became loud. Very loud. Mika immediately dragged Carl toward the giant entertainment room. “Oh my gosh wait— flex your arm again.” Carl looked horrified. “Why would I do that?” “For female happiness.” “That sentence scares me.” Chris looked deeply betrayed again. “Why is everyone obsessed with him.” “Because he looks like a romance novel bodyguard,” Mika answered instantly. Leanne nearly choked laughing. Meanwhile Kai cooked snacks in the kitchen while Ren helped quietly beside him. And somehow— Everything felt weirdly domestic. Warm. Comfortable. Like a real family. Then suddenly— Chris appeared beside Leanne again. Way too close. Again. Leanne sighed automatically. “…Do you teleport?” “Yes.” “That explains your psychological problems.” Chris grinned before suddenly handing her a blanket. “You get cold easily.” Leanne blinked slightly. “…How do you know that?” Chris froze. Then laughed awkwardly. “…Lucky guess?” But somehow— His answer sounded strangely soft. Like he noticed more about her than she realized. Then suddenly— Mika screamed from across the room. “CARL PICKED ME UP.” Leanne turned immediately. And nearly collapsed laughing. Carl looked deeply exhausted while Mika celebrated dramatically in his arms like she won a championship. “I CAN SEE THE ENTIRE WORLD.” “Please get down.” “NEVER.” Kai physically walked away from the situation. Ren quietly pretended not to witness anything. Chris looked emotionally devastated again. “I’m surrounded by traitors.” Leanne laughed so hard her stomach hurt. And honestly? For the first time in a long while— Everyone looked genuinely happy.
