Joseph looked at me for a moment, then he closed the short distance between us. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. It wasn't like the first time and it was. This kiss was slow and soft. He tilted his head, moving his lips against mine. When I opened my mouth to sigh, he slipped his tongue in. He didn't pull away or tell me he couldn't.
His hands traveled down my back, to my ass and thighs. They squeezed, pulling me closer to him. I didn't know where this was going and I didn't care. I wanted to feel his lips on mine. I wanted his hands on my body.
He stopped kissing me, nipped my lower lip, and left me breathless. I needed more. I wanted more. If this was all he was willing to give me, I'd take it. I knew deep down that this was only the beginning. I wanted more.
Joseph broke the embrace and whispered, "You are more. You are a lot more, Roxy."
I smiled, happy he wanted me too. I couldn't stop the tears of joy from falling down my cheeks. He cupped my face and kissed them away.
"I'm not going to let you go, Roxy. You can be sure of that. I know I'm years older than you, but I'm not going anywhere. I'll protect you and take care of you. I'll never leave you."
We kissed again. This time it was wild. It was hungry and demanding. My body ached for his touch. I put my hands against his chest, pushing him away. I couldn't take much more of this. I wanted more. I needed more. But I was worried it was moving too fast.
"Dinner. We have to go to dinner." I panted.
"Right." Joseph cleared his throat. "Right. Let me just finish what I was doing. I'll be right there."
I nodded and went out to straighten myself up and wait for him. My lipstick was a little smudged, but my mascara hadn't run. I was grateful for that.
After fixing my hair and makeup, I sat on the couch in the living room. I didn't really know where this was all heading, but I wasn't going to wait around for life to push me in a direction. It was my time to take the lead.
For years, I'd talked with Jo and thought it would be wonderful to find a man like her, never knowing that she really was a man. He was nice and hardworking. It certainly didn't hurt that he was rich. Joseph was perfect for me in so many ways.
I wanted to marry him. I wanted to be his wife, his partner, his everything. I would trust him with my life, my body, and my heart. I would do anything for him.
Joseph came out of the office and smiled at me. I smiled back. I was so happy. Looking at him made me so happy.
I stood up and walked over to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. It was a kiss filled with all the love and desire I had for him.
He groaned and kissed me back. We parted and went to his car. He helped me into my seat and clicked my seatbelt. I smiled at him as he moved to his side of the car. Paul started the car and we were on our way to dinner.
When we got to the restaurant, Joseph got out and helped me out of the car. He took my hand in his, kissed my cheek, and held the door open for me. There were people there taking pictures. It took a moment, but they realized who Joseph was and started shouting and snapping pictures.
Joseph paused a few times and posed with me. When the people asked who I was, he told them I was Roxy Smith, his fiancée.
I walked into the restaurant and the hostess smiled at us.
"Reservation for Williams," Joseph said, and the woman nodded.
"Right this way." She said, moving through the restaurant and to a gorgeous table.
Joseph pulled out my chair for me and I sat down. He took the seat across from me. I looked around and took it all in. Everything was so pretty. The table was dressed with beautiful flowers and a candle. The lights were dim, but there was a special light shining on the table. I smiled at him. He took my hand.
"Thank you," I said and squeezed his hand.
"It's nice, isn't it?" He chuckled.
"It's beautiful. I've never been anywhere like this. I'm not even sure who would let me in or not." I said and smiled.
"You're here with me and there's no one here that would say a cross word to you," Joseph said and kissed my hand.
A woman came over to us then. She was wearing a beautiful black dress with a white apron. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. She smiled and spoke to Joseph.
"Hello, Mr. Williams. It's nice to see you again."
"Hello, Agatha. Thank you for working on such short notice," Joseph said, and I blushed.
"I'm glad to be here," Agatha replied. "I recommend the lobster tail."
"I'll take your suggestion. Thank you."
"And for your lady friend?" She asked.
"I'll take the same," I said and smiled at her.
"Very good." She made a little curtsy, turned, and walked away.
I looked at Joseph and smiled.
"Lobster is expensive," I said.
"I want you to enjoy yourself, Roxy. I've got this." He said, returning my smile.
"Thank you," I said and squeezed his hands.
"I hope you like it here," Joseph said.
"I love it," I said.
I did love it. The restaurant was dimly lit by candlelight and the only real light source was two chandeliers. The tables were long and surrounded by high chairs with white tablecloths. The chairs were covered with plush red velvet covers embroidered with gold trim. The walls were painted with murals of a castle on the hill. The floors were made of rich hardwood.
Soft music floated from the corner and soft voices of the people talking spoke in tones meant for a private and intimate dinner. I heard laughter and talking. The clinking of glasses and silverware on porcelain plates.
"I'm glad." Joseph smiled and kissed my hand.
Agatha came back with the food a while later. I gasped. She put a plate in front of me and it was huge. There was a lobster tail so big I didn't think I'd be able to finish it.
"This is so pretty. Thank you so much." I said, and the woman smiled.
"Enjoy your meal. I'll be back in a while."
I looked at the lobster tail and smiled. I picked up my fork and took a bite. The lobster was sweet and firm. I'd never tasted lobster before. It had to be the most delicious thing I've ever eaten.
Joseph sipped his wine while we ate. He smiled at me and put his fork down.
"You're so adorable. No woman has ever looked as dazzled as you when I brought them here. I could watch you all day."
I smiled and blushed, taking another bite.
"Do you like that?" Joseph asked, taking a sip of wine.
"I love it. It's amazing. The lobster is so huge. It's so sweet. I've never had lobster before," I said, and put my fork down.
"I'm glad you like it. It's my favorite food." He said and finished his food.
I wasn't finished yet, but I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish the rest. I kept eating.
"I'm impressed. Most women would have stopped after the first bite." Joseph chuckled. "Do you want dessert?"
"I’d love dessert," I said and licked my lips.
"Good," he said and smiled.
He flagged Agatha down and she came over to us. She took our plates and smiled.
"Is there anything else I can get for you?" She asked.
"No. bring out the chocolate soufflé, please," Joseph said, and the woman nodded.
"Very good, sir." She said and walked away.
Chocolate soufflé sounded amazing. I was really excited. It was like a late birthday celebration. One where I wasn't drugged up.
I remembered that Jo would tell me online about the chocolate soufflé he loved to eat and I was always a little jealous. I'd never been to a restaurant that served it and I was too intimidated to try baking one.
Agatha brought out a plate. It was a medium-sized bowl with a soufflé in it and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was infused with raspberries and dark chocolate. It looked amazing.
She set two spoons on the table and cleared our other plates. I looked up at Joseph and he smiled.
"I did always tell you it was just a little too much to eat on my own." He chuckled. "I'm glad I get to share it with you."
I smiled, blushed, and took a bite. It was sweet, but not overly so. The raspberries and chocolate added a nice tang of flavor. The ice cream added a soft creaminess to the tart of the berries and the slight bitterness of the dark chocolate. It was the most delicious thing I'd ever eaten. I took another bite and Joseph watched me.
"It's amazing," I said.
"I'm glad you like it," he said.
Joseph picked up his spoon and we shared the dessert. It was soft and fluffy, melt-in-my-mouth chocolate goodness. I closed my eyes as I ate it.
I was in heaven and I didn't want it to end. I was just so happy. He was sweet and caring. He was smart and funny. He was sexy and hot. Joseph was just so amazing.
Before I knew it, I was done and swooning over my last bite. Joseph licked his spoon in a way that made me squirm.
"Did I ever tell you that you have a gorgeous smile?" He asked, putting his spoon down.
"I think you did," I said.
"And you have a cute blush," Joseph remarked, putting his hand behind my head and running his fingers through my hair.
Joseph pulled me toward him. I leaned into him. He looked into my eyes for a moment, then he kissed me. I kissed him back. He put his hand on my cheek and kept kissing me. It was a slow and passionate kiss. I was flushed when he released my lips. He pushed my hair behind my ear and looked into my eyes.
"Mmm. I love that blush." He said.
Agatha reappeared with the bill. Joseph didn't even look at it. He just put a card in the bill folder and handed it back. She took it and left.
"Don't you want to know how much that was?" I asked.
"Not particularly. I'll take care of my bills later. Don't worry. I have more than enough for this tonight. Roxy, money will never have to be something you worry about again. You're my fiancée, let me spoil you without you worrying about how I'll pay for it." Joseph chuckled.
I smiled and blushed. I didn't really care how much it was. He was treating me so well. I was happy to be with him and I didn't even care what he spent on me. I knew he had more than enough money to cover it and more.
"Thank you. You're being so sweet," I said.
"You don't have to thank me. I love doing it. The fact that I get to be with a beautiful woman makes it even better." He smiled.
Agatha returned with the receipt and the card. Joseph signed and wrote in a tip, then slid his card into his wallet and pulled me from my seat. He ran his thumb over my lips, then dipped down to kiss me again.
Joseph and I walked out of the restaurant hand in hand. We walked back to the car. Paul opened the door for me and I got in. Joseph came around and sat next to me.
We rode home, holding hands. Joseph kissed me and I got very comfortable with it. He didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. He always made me feel so special.
I looked at his strong hands, they were so smooth and rough all at the same time. I knew he'd take care of me. I knew he was a good man. I was relaxed with him and I was very happy.
