Chapter 8: Jo Waking Up

I woke up in something very comfortable and I knew right away that I had no clue where I was at. Why are they treating me differently at the moment, I mean I ran away. They said if I ran away again I was going to be in big trouble and end up dead. I decided to open my eyes to look around the room to see where I was at. I saw a man sitting in the chair beside me. I know that they wouldn’t leave me here by myself because they do not want me to run away. Then a girl came through the door that had a white jacket on and a clip bored. Oh hell no what does she want and why does she have a clipboard for? 

Hi my name is Liv, I am a doctor here and Hazzle Moon pack. I was the one who did your surgery this morning. I know that you probably do not want to talk to me but I know all your ribs were broken and one punctured your lung that is why you could not breath and felt like you could not do much. I would love to know your name and how old you are if you do not mind telling me. 

 Yeah right lady, I am not going to tell you my name. I haven’t talked to anyone in a long time because I do not trust anyone any more. The only person that I might talk to is who the moon goddess told me about. Then the guy next to me jumped up from sleeping and looked shocked to see me awake. This scared me and made me shake and cower to the side of the bed. He looked at me with sad eyes like it hurt him to see that I jumped away from him. Which I do not understand why he would because he doesn't even know me. He touches my hand and I feel the sparks and I remember way back when I was in my back in the orphanage that the older kids would talk about mates. I hurried up and pulled my hand away. That means this has to be Travis because the moon goddess said my mate would not hurt me. 

I am going to talk for the first time in two and a half years. "It can’t be you can it, your Travis aren’t you." The next thing I know it is dark again. Liv, how did she know my name, did you tell her who I was, and why did she pass out? “Alpha I have no idea how she knew your name and the reason why she passed out was because of stress. She could not believe that you were who you were and that was her body's response.” Then how did she know my name it doesn't make sense. This is the first time that I have meant her and she seemed not to know me until I touched her. Yes the mate bond is there but it did not mean she would already know me. I know the moon goddess said she was special. I guess this is what she meant by it. When do you think she will wake back up Liv? “I am not sure how long it will take her to wake up. I was surprised she was completely awake when I walked in this time. It is just going to be a waiting game to see when she wakes up and how fast she approaches things. I mean she was scared to even talk to me, then once you touch her she talks for the first time then passes out. So this is a learning curve for both of us. She seems like a special person.” You have no idea how special she is, at least that is what I thought. I did not want Liv to know what the moon goddess told me about her just yet.
