Chapter 2: Travis Finding His Mate

390 Words
Travis, where are you going to? Man I swear I smelt my mate over here man but know I cannot smell it anymore. I mean how do you go from smelling something so amazing to it disappearing without a trace. How about we look around and see if we cannot see if anyone is around that is hiding in our territory.  "Uh hey Trav would you mind standing on that side of the log." I stood by the log and bent down and saw a girl that looked very malnourished and could see almost every bone in her body. “Hey my name is Travis, why don’t you come on out we aren’t going to hurt you.” She moved back closer to the other side of the wood until Matt stopped her. She moved to the middle of the log and started rocking back and forth and maybe crying but could not tell with all the noise around us.  I had no clue on how to get this girl out of the log without scaring her. It looks like she has not had anyone be nice to her for awhile. I am just gonna have to go in and grab her out of the log because I need to get her back to the pack and to our doctor to see if she is a wolf or not. If not, we are going to help her find a place in the human community where she will get the help she needs. That way she does not have to worry about learning our wolf community.  When I started to climb into the log I heard a whining sound like a wolf would make but she has no smell to her like most wolves do to help them know if it is their mate or not. “Hey I’m not going to hurt you but I need you to come with me to my doctor to get you checked out.” The weird thing is was when I went to grab her she flinched but did not fight me to get away. I can understand why she would flinch but why did she not try to fight back. Why would someone try so hard to stay away from someone but not put up a fight when I went to grab her?
