Chapter 10: What to Feel

I did not know how to feel at this point? Did he have his third standing outside because if I tried to run there would be someone to catch me. But also Travis said that he would not let anyone hurt me but he is not here either. Even though the moon goddess said to trust him it was just hard for me to trust anyone but myself. I feel so tired but scared to fall asleep without at least Travis here. The only reason I feel somewhat safe is because of what the goddess said. 

I started going in and out of counsiness because I am tired. I started to smell something good coming towards the door. Travis came in with two trays in his hands. I bring my knees up to my chest scared that he will do something I will not like. I could see the hurt in his eyes but I do not trust him letting me do things at my own speed. “Here you go Jo, I got what the doctor said you could have. It looks like some vegetables, meat, and a protein shake. She said ``make sure you drink all the shake and take your time eating, do not eat extremely fast.” He sat the tray at the end of my bed and sat back down in the chair. I moved very slowly to make sure that it wasn’t a trap that if I went to the food that I would get punished for eating. 

When I started eating the food Travis tried to talk to me about what I liked and what I did not like. I told him that the veggies were all good but the meat which I came to find out was pork chops was not good. Travis laughed at me and said that he loved pork chops; it was one of his favorite meals when he was a kid. I started to feel exhausted in the middle of my meal and started to lay back in the bed and forgot about the rest of the food. I do not remember much about what Travis was saying at the end because I was drifting off. 

Travis: 

When I was watching Jo eating she did not eat as much as I would have liked her to eat. She still wasn’t talking to me that much, like she still does not know what to think about me. Once I started talking to her she laid back and started to drift off into sleep. I was just glad that she trusted me to fall asleep while in the room with her. I stayed there because Taylor said that she would not fall asleep even though she seemed extremely tired. So I am guessing she was scared to fall asleep when I was not around or at least that is what I am hoping for. 

I asked Matt to bring me my papers from my office so I could work on it while I stay in the hospital tonight. When I started working on my papers it seemed like time was flying by fast; usually it feels like it takes forever to finish paperwork. I started to watch Jo sleep which I know was weird but I am just so happy to have found my mate. Then I started to hear whining noises and did not understand what was going on until I really paid attention to Jo. Her arms and legs were moving like she was trying to get away from something. Then that is when she started to scream which I do not know what to do except wake her up. 

Hey Jo wake up! “Ahhh, get away from me… Leave me alone, don’t touch me.” Hey Joe it's me Travis, I am not going to hurt you I promise. You mean everything to me, you are my world. Don’t you remember our conversation, you are safe and no one is going to get you here. She is still in the corner and not looking at me while shaking.  Please Jo, calm down, talk to me!
