I pushed through the heavy glass door of the private rooftop bar. The place was all dark wood and low leather booths with dim gold lights hanging over every table. Expensive whiskey bottles lined the back wall and only a couple of suited guys sat at the far end talking quiet. I spotted Kade already in the corner booth nursing a glass. I dropped into the seat across from him and flagged the waiter. “Two doubles, neat, keep them coming.” Kade leaned back and grinned wide, “yo man you’ve been MIA for weeks. What the hell happened?
