I quickly stand up and act to dust the bedside table, wanting nothing but to leave the room in embarrassment. Was he not asleep? I mentally slap my forehead. I hear the bed shift before I feel his presence behind me. What is he doing? I swallow. He's about five inches away from touching his body with my stiff back. I proceed to dust the table when I realise I'm not moving anymore. It's ten seconds later when his deep accented voice sends shivers up and down my spine. “Babe.” Huh? Babe? “Babe, you're awake.” I whip my head in the direction of the familiar voice. Emma is at the door of the bathroom, a white towel is wrapped around her chest.
