EMERALD'S POV
IT HAS BEEN an hour if I am not mistaken since I started drinking alone in a corner, sitting in front of the round table. We are currently in an elegant and fancy hotel where Ellaine's friend's birthday is being held. Since I didn't know anyone in this area, I decided to just sit quietly on one side and drink peacefully. I can't keep Ellaine by my side because I know she needs to socialize with her friends. She also introduced me to her friends earlier but I am not really a friendly person. I easily make friends but only to those people that I am relatable to. I couldn't really relate to what Ellaine and her friends were talking about so I just decided to stay away a little bit.
