MY WHOLE being is shaking. I couldn't understand the words Ellaine said. I heard what she said clearly but I couldn't understand. It's like there's a big wall blocking my brain and I don't want to process what she said.
Or maybe, I understand but I am just pretending that I don't understand so as not to believe her?
