Her mistake...

He helped me get down the motorbike and then we took our helmets off. "Thank you." I stated as he took my hand in his. "You're always welcome." he gave me a toothy grin as he helps me fix my hair with his fingers and then we began walking in towards the restaurant. I smiled warmly at him surprised to admit to myself that aside from his beautiful features, I also love him due to these small gestures especially him being a gentleman. We went in and the first thing that caught my eye is its beach like theme but the most fascinating are its walls which had been painted beautifully and skillfully of underwater real-like creatures with the sparkling coral reefs. It's really like an underwater restaurant that make you feel those creatures painted on the wall were swimming and you're swimming with them. A redhead receptionist then approached us... "Good day, Ma'am and Sir." she greeted while gawking at the man beside me. Okay, she’s more liked starstruck at Mr. Stranger as expected. I cleared my throat to get her attention and snap her out of her fantasies. “A table for two, please.” Mr. Stranger stated oblivious of the girl now batting her eyelashes at him. "Oh, this way Sir." O—kay, what happened to Ma'am? Oh, am I forgotten already? Pfft!! Flirty woman!! She led us at the far left corner of the fancy restaurant giving us the view of the sea, its waves a music to our ears. And I’ll have to say, it's too fancy in this restaurant that I need to recall what I learned about table etiquette. It's all painstakingly fine dining in here. "I've already ordered for us. I hope you don't mind." he said as he assisted me to my seat. I shook my head in response. Actually, I'm kind of relieved that he ordered for us knowing me, it would probably took me awhile to decide which food to chose considering its prices of course. "You know what, you're such a toothsome guy sexually frustrates all the women in here." I spoke as he had take in his seat still gaining all the stares of the women dining in the restaurant, craving for the man holding my hand a while ago. "Well, my sole purpose is to just sexually frustrate you." he chuckled. A blonde waitress approached us holding a cocktail sherry wine then left immediately after Mr. Stranger signaled her that he’ll be the one to pour it for the both of us instead of her. "Gosh, you're so flirty." I rolled my eyes at him. I then sighed deeply observing the place, scanning the place in awe with its sky blue colored tiled floor, the white tablecloth adorned with daisies in a coral design vase with its high-backed cream colored chairs and lastly the big chandeliers formed like a flower at the ceilings emitting a soft white light. I sighed once again taking the simple yet elegant place its soft music of “Your Man” by Josh Turner softly singing in the background. Hmmm, one of my favorite song. "You're nervous?" I suddenly shift my gaze at him meeting his curious glance. I sighed once again. "Yes, I am." I admitted flushing. He laughed a little. Then another waitress came with our first course, an already peeled steamy shrimp with gravy beside it and gave Mr. Stranger a flirty smile then left. I rolled my eyes discreetly. "Well, it's weird." he chuckled making me snap out of my jealous thoughts. "Weird, what?" I asked as we begin to eat the mouth-watering shrimp. "It's weird because the feelings are mutual." he gave me a weak smile. His statement made me choke on my food making me swiftly drink my wine with large gulps. Ugh! So much for fine dining. "You okay, my Aphrodite?" he fretted and reaches across the table wiping the sides of my mouth with his table napkin. "Yea-, by the way, why are you calling me Aphrodite?" I fixed my eyes at his, curious for his answer. He smiled sweetly. "You're my Aphrodite because you bought me the real meaning of love and beauty." he reached for my hand on the table, held it and gently kissed my knuckles. He's a cheesy guy alright and I love that side of him. I can't help but smile. We continued our brunch chatting about stuffs like likes, dislikes and hobbies. “Do you like to be on top or at the bottom?” I asked as I had shared to him earlier that every time Layla—my best friend since College up until now—and I would transfer dorms, I would always be at the top bunk bed. He smiled wickedly at me and realizes I had just asked a double meaning question. I mentally face palm myself. “I can be at the bottom as long as you’re on top of me.” I gaped at him askance, my reaction earning a laugh from him. We continued asking one another. You can say it's a getting to know kind of chat and there it hits me that I wanted to know him better and a much deeper sense not a hallow kind of knowing someone. This prompted me to ask the question I had to ask to him before before which, sadly, he turned down but I'm hoping he will answer it now. "What's your name?" I ask which I've been asking him for the ninth or maybe tenth time already throughout our meal. Well, I'm a persistent person alright especially, when curiosity welled up inside me. "Aphrodite, you're still not dropping that subject?" he asked after dabbing the sides of his mouth with the table napkin as he finished his food. I don't know if he's irritated but I quite figured out, he is. "Lady Aphrodite Lee, that's my name." my voice is small as I bowed down my head taking interest on the napkin on my lap. "Drop it!" he warned. I can't dare to look at him. I'm afraid to see his reaction but I figured if I willingly give him facts about myself, he’ll eventually want to do the same. "I-I graduated with the degree of Fine Arts." I struggled to pull out the words. I kept on telling him about myself, where I grew up in and my life as a child. He might as well as open up to me but he finally lost it as I mention my parent’s names. He tapped the desk hard that it made a loud thud rattling the things on top of the table which made me flinch a little. He sighed, even if I didn't look at him, I know he's definitely mad right now. I wrung my hands together as nervousness coiled in my stomach. Sh*t! I screwed up! "Excuse me, I need to go to the restroom. Kindly, wait for me in the parking lot." he said now composed but firm and left. I held back the triggering tears which is about to fall and did what I was told ignoring the stares from the neighboring tables which apparently saw the scene much to my embarrassment.
