The modern office in my view wasn't a place I was unaware of. Not since Father died, making sure that I could recognize this place even in my nightmares.
A small glass plate displayed the name of Arthur Smith in an italic font. I bet I had never met a lawyer or even seen once before my father's death.
My heart was of course broken at his passing away but at the same time, it wasn't easy for me to just forget and forgive each of his actions towards me.
Even on his deathbed, he couldn't stop complaining or showing his disappointment towards me. Now, he had left behind a fortune that seemed pretty much mind now except that I had to fight a battle at the same time just to lose it.
